nice idea …
good luck
Spectacular 3D Entry: Gábor Tamás
Nice colour sketch. You need to rethink the composition, at the moment the planes are taking the eyes right out of the picture, perhaps a balancing element on the top left corner.
All the best.

Here’s a sketch, how the UCAV will look like. I tried to stick to the latest US stealth aircraft designs. No trapezoid wings though, they look so awful!
I start modeling soon. Now I gotta learn how that thing called Blender works.
I like that concept, would love to see the details you add in in the model. Vincent1 is correct in the composition note he made. You need something to help pull the eye back to the whole of the image, as opposed to the lower right, The angle of the camera is fine just mainly the placement of your image subjects (the aircraft).
I have subscrived to your thread, will keep my eyes on it, hopefully give you some helpful feedback where i can
best of luck
Thank you very much. There won’t be updates for a while, as i will not have net connection at home for a couple of days. But I’m working hard on the model. I created a lot of drawings, because I have to find a way to make it a little more hmmm interesting. If you take a look at an X-47 or an X-45 (tons of images on the net, try google images), the first thing you’ll notice, is that they are so utterly simple, you can hardly find anything to model, besides the body, which is also the wing, and everything else. So I don’t really know how to split it apart. Even my design is so simple, I need to texture it right, otherwise it will be a joke.
hi profg didnt know u were in !cool concept maybe u could add little details so that it desont look that utterly simple and yet simple enough know what i mean :)! looking forward to the modeling process!
all the best!
Just realised I should have a look at what’s going on here too!
Looks like this could turn out to be a dramatic looking image (and I see you’re way more informed about aircraft and such than I
)
the last angle looks better ! actauly hard to tell . maybe u could model a small res one and pose around like i did in my concept gives more one freedom to experiment!
cheers!
yes it’s better :), perhaps the objetcs are too on the same plan ? that misses depth, perhaps can you put the missile more at the foreground and the plane more in the second plan or the reverse ?
good luck for the continuation!
Thanx for all the replies, guys.
Last night I had a dream. Probably after watching Discovery channel a little too much. Whatever. In my dream there was a scene so …er… interesting, that I had think about modeling it. So I tweaked the idea a bit, and now I found, I have a concept that is a lot more spectacular than some UCAVs blowing things off the Earth. Actually, I liked the idea less and less, because it looks like the majority of the people can’t think of spectacularity, unless there are things being blown up, or destroyed some other way, and I just didn’t want to create one more of these images. So my new concept is actually very peaceful. Unfortunately, no concept drawings, yet, but here’s the story:
A strange phenomenon was detected by a new satellite deep under the surface of the Pacific Ocean. The US Navy sent a research vessel to study the phenomenon. But no one could ever imagine what they would find miles below the surface: some strange geological complex giving home to a huge number of creatures, from bacteria, to the well known deep-sea creatures, such as the angler fish or the fangtooth, and a species not yet known. A gigantic fish, a 20 meter long serpentike creature.
The scene will show the ocean floor, illuminated by the strange phenomenon. There will be a number of fishes and small squids, and two of the behemoths looking curiously at the submarine intruding their territory.
sounds like a good idea alot of room for wicked under water lighting from lil creatures and the sort
Here’s a quick sketch of the skull of the serpent. I want to create a huge creature, as you can see, but i don’t want it to look agressive. I want to create a peaceful giant. What do you think?
good concept and good sketch, your serpent looks like a dragon, perhaps a submarine dragon ? good way
Well, peaceful giant sounds good and fairly original too… given that most giant creatures seem to be rather quirky fellows with a chronicly bad temper. Looking forward to see what happens next here.
