I think should go with a up and down canvas so it can give the illusion of scale! good concepts so far, Stay with and you will make it, holla!:thumbsup:

#14

Cursed aliens - always ruining our day! Best of luck…

@Beelow

YEah I think your right, a more vertical layout will definitely give a better vibe. Thanks for the crit…:smiley: And thanks again for checking it out!

@shagsa
Don’t you know it!LOL Damn aliens are falling from the sky (no pun intended) :smiley:

A more vertical line-up might work well, at the same time it would be a nice effect if you could capture that kind of curved distortion from the first sketch… I think that might add a certain something to the big picture.

#17

Thanks for checking it out…Yeah, I agree the curved distortion would add a little more style to the piece…thanks for the crit :buttrock:

This could look good! I would suggest changing his pose to something more dramatic, though. Maybe have him already being pulled up, his feet in the air and maybe his hand in the foreground grasping at something to keep him on the earth. As it is, it feels a bit staged, as opposed to a snapshot of a situation.

#19

Thanks for taking a look!
Great suggestions, I love the “pulled up” idea, that would definitely help it feel more like a moment in time…thanks :buttrock:

Here is the start of one of the buildings in the street scene. There will be a little market at the bottom of the building. I took the advise of a few and made things a little more vertical and distorted…C&C are welcome!

This was a test to see how the mesh will loook textured. There is still no bump or specular map. I’m quite new to human texturing, so any advice is welcome!!

Just wandered over here to check out your WIP frenzy, nice job so far…the building WIP is wicked, love the deformed look of it. The character is coming along real nice too.
