Latest Update: Coloring WIP: Conductor WIP 7

#2

Concept for “The Conductor”. I’ll post a story to go with it later, I’m tired now.
The colors probably wont play out like this in the end either, there’ll be composition changes. Suggestions would be appreciated.

#3

hm, looks pretty much like mine.

#4

Dang, similar theme to mine aswell… Oh well, back to the drawing board!
(Great minds think alike!)
Keep it up.

#5

The basic ouline for some of the stuff in the drawing, with colors blocked in. The texture of the rock is temporary.

#6

Working on the water at the moment, for the most part. There are going to be a lot more waves than in the concept drawing.
Right now I’m trying to figure out what to do with the ugly rock texture.

#7

Started coloring the clouds in. Way too much contrast in them at the moment, and it becomes kind of confusing, but I’m working on it. Any suggestions?

Looks like I’ll be keeping the rock texture too. Clone stamp is my friend.

#8

Some changes since last time. The clouds are gone for good- the only clouds I put there are probably going to be thin. I also repositioned the conductor and made the length of the drawing a little shorter.
Otherwise, mainly been working on the water.

#9

Changed the sky, still working on it. Gotta add the oranges and the purples and clouds and whatnot.

#10

What is going to be the story behind it? I’d suggest to add some action on the background to link it more directly to the spectacular theme; for instance as if he is directing a gigantic jumping whale or a school of dolphins. Giving it a certain background would also create a bit more depth in the image. Good luck.

#11

Not too different from the last update. Added more color to the sky to give it some depth, so next up is probably the clouds. Should be able to start adding color to the water too.
