Spectacular 2D Entry: Paweł Hordyniak

#4

hey man good luck with that,
Gliwice gdzie?

#5

I have destroyed this symetric look in new version. It was a bit boring. And there are new buldings.

#6

hey man! nice start, your pic’s a bit too symmetrical at the moment. You can keep it that way if you add enough stuff around to break the composition.

#7

No wlasnie symetrycznosc troche boli… Tak samo jak rowniutka linia budynków. Moze dodasz chodniki, stragany jakies bardziej fikusne budynki? Pomaga zerkniecie na jakies fotki budynków ktore są teraz modne wśród architektówi.
Pomysl ogolnie niezly ale moze zastanów sie nad jakims bardziej dybamicznym, spektakularnym ujeciem akcji

pozdrawiam i powodzenia :buttrock:

At first I want to say Thank you for great feedback  I changed symetrical wiev radically, and I had new idea. I mixed old style of architecture (like in my city) with this sience-fiction buldings. And meteor fall  All together should be rather spectacular (I hope so).

pawlack,
thx for replying to my thread.
very nice environment concepts. last concept is much more interesting
than the ones before. but i loved the stretched perspective of the first one.
it has lots of movement.
keep it up.

#10

The new composition is a definate improvement! looks better overall. maybe you could add in people running or, seeing as the meteor looks like its already hit the ground, they could be getting blown away, along with cars, lamposts, buildings etc. Good luck! and hopefully see some more concepts soon

#11

Hi Pawlack,

Im actually digging your first sketch more than the last two. I think the worms eye view chose for your initial sketch carries more impact and shows the disaster thats happening in a more upfront and personal level. The last sketch, while good, seems to lack this. The meteor feels too far away and lacks the dynamics that your initial sketch has.

Thanks for your comments on my sketches and whatever you decide though, keep the updates coming! - J

#12

Hi,

Interesting sketch. I would alter composition…

Powodzenia

#13

Thanks again for replies for my post. I payed attention to your comments. This time i tried to destroy the static feel of city. I have added some futuristic planes  It could be wiev from one of them. Hope you like it.

#14

what’s up, I like #8, street on the left it’s very good,
maybe you could put kind of track in the main direction, something like a meteor would live when it hits, going down diagonal, I think this could break the static in the composition,
like those cars, that helps with the dynamic,
really like if you go down little like a v shape on the right
zgubil mi sie email do Ciebie gdzies, na razie

#15

Dodaj jeszcze kilka odlamkow meteorytu ktore robia zamieszanie dookola i bedzie dobrze

#16

Hi Pawlack, I like the concept. The first couple of views you did form low down gave the thing a really massive presence, kind of putting the viewer right in the path of the comet, whereas the birdseye view detaches them a bit more. If you go with the birdseye view, why not try moving the comet so it’s right up close to the viewer, with the city roads detroyed behind it, buidlings half collapsed, showing why a meteor crash would be so spectacular.

But if it were me, I’d go for the low down view, and maybe add some screaming, fleeing people, that way you get the size of the meteor, and you still get to add in your mix of scifi and tradional architecture.

#17

Ah this step is annoying :stuck_out_tongue:

Next there will be value.
Thank you for comments

#18

Intresting perspective. What direction does this meteor actually fall from, I can’t figure that out  When I saw your first sketch a couple of days ago I thought it was godzilla or something striking the city (does anyone else see the claws on the left??) Now it’s more clear  good luck  No i dobrej zabawy

#19

hey man really cool work. i cant wait to see some colors on that. i see most of the image… but i guess its nothing without color right now.

#20

Uhh hardest thing. It’s veeeeery quick color test. What do you think? I can change nearly everything
Please give opinions, even if you seriously dislike that, it’s very important to me

Thank you.

#21

hey Pawlack, I like this, just tilt it a little CCW, like 15%. My neck was kinda hurting, tilting my head to look at it:) Keep it up man, great mood you have going!

#22

hey man
the color looks awsome I think it’s just right
just right on, if you combine them both I mean that very clean drawing and that kind of brush that’s strong, just keep in mind those little highlights very importent, they don’t tell you that at school

#23

Detail test. I was wonder how the detail would work.
