Spectacular 2D Entry: Naomi Covacs
First of all, thanks to my friend Miller , i am trying to get the courage to actually do something. heheh. let’s rock this boat. I hope he joins this party too :).
Alright, we were talking about the challenge, then we talked about Fellini and his movie LA NAVE VA (which is absolutely wonderful by the way), and anyways, this picture came up in my mind, you know. Something to do with dreams and hope perhaps, no matter where we are, or what time, its the kind of thing that never goes away. The dream of embracing or becoming something different.
And then making an extension to that thought to modes of transportation (why not?).
A contrast between different types of transportation, like the one depicted here, a balloon hand stitched with a boat and all sorts of textures and knick-knacks and what-nots, different from a version of a gray, metal, sleek vehicles flying around, or cities and etcs, and this zepelin-sorta-boat will be all colorfull and different from the rest, with other people looking in wonder…
Perhaps few hints of eco-friendly cities and etcs, but still lots of pollution way down closer to the ground…
i’m picturing it along as i write this so… WHAT DO YOU THINK, o great big void? (or whoever comes by my thread heheheheh)
Mate, this is wonderfull concept…now i’m eager to see further work…and i like the style of the sketch…have a nice competition and above all, satisfaction.
weeeeeeeeeeee to you too!
it’s a nice “naomish” idea. ok, you are naomi, so that kinda makes sense.
or not. ornot.
the platypus.
now I’m really curious about a finished piece from you since it’s been a long time I don’t see one.
the sketch is very clean, that’s nice. I think you could try some other views, some more dramatic perspective maybe.
I don’t know if this is what’s in yer mind, but I imagined a very rich detailed boat, with lots of curves and fantastic figures engraved.
good luck my dear
