Spectacular 2D Entry: Marin Davide

#1

Marin Davide is entered in the “Spectacular Challenge” update: View Challenge Page

Latest Update: Coloring WIP: Back to the first concept

#2

This is the first sketch…
It is about a guy, maybe a ninja, that is attacking from behind a girl with guns. Will she be able to shoot in time?

#3

Here is the sketch a bit refined…
Still to decide the background, the location where this scene takes place.

#4

The sketch seems to grow in its own style, not exactly what I had in mind… Added some details, and still to decide if I have to try with a totally new sketch.

#5

Changed some things from the latest sketch, like the background.
It still looks cartoon-like, this will change when the image will be finished-
I’m still not sure if this image can be classified as spectacular…

#6

It would be nice to have some comments
Just to know if the idea is good, or if the whole thing is out of the contest’s theme…

#7

…I’m wondering if i have done any mistake, since there are no comments at all! Is this image so bad?
Anyway, here’s the last update.

#8

…just an update…

#9

Here is another update.
I saw I had written only a very small introduction to the drawing concept… I’ll post it soon
I am not too happy with this sketch, I probably will try another idea, since this doesn’t look spectacular at all…

#10

A new concept sketch.
An idea about what the hell could be… This “monster” is supposed to give the right punishments for all those sinners… there will probably be a massive amount of corpses around.
The monster itself is, on the other hand, half prisoned by those cables and that rock that is keeping it from escaping…who can have done that?

Hey dude can’t believe I’ve missed you sketches before.

I really like your old concept - very dnyamic posture for the woman in front although she is very skinny
I think the character behind her needs a more dynamics posture, but the it could be a really cool picture - wpuld love to see the intro text for it - as well as for your new sketch

Keep up the good work - it can be frustrating not getting any comments, but hang in there - i will look back to see what you have been doing

Good luck!

#12

Thanks for your suggestions!
I have decided to go work again on the first idea, I have changed the ninja to make him more dynamic, and it does look better now. Also made the explosion a bit better…

#13

Good progress
I think you need something to contract the explosion. Its very birght at the moment, so you prbably need some “counter-weight”. Looking forward to seeing more!
