Here the plan is a light symphony, where a female conductor waves a Fiber optic wand. THe wand uses very strong elctromagnetic patterns to alter the paths of the aurora. She conducts them into beautiful patterns in a stadium, while she is on a highly raised podium. This happens in a place like Canada, where it is far out from the city, however people from all over the world come to watch.

THis is my main idea. It’s the biggest thing I thought of when I thought Spectacular.

Oh, and I’m not hispanic, but “Orchestra de Aurora” Sounds more romantic. :smiley:

Any thoughts would be delightful!

A color comp. First time ever rendering something like the aurora or the night sky. Looks like fun!

This is a WIP color comp by the way. I like the sky so far, and that’s all at the moment.

Cool idea. It’ll be interesting to see how closely you can simulate the lights. I’ll definately be watching this one closely. :bounce:

I might… But I’m starting to think of doing something different, making the aurora seem more vast. I don’t want that glaring symmetry…

I sketched out a small thumb last night that I’ll probably rework today, It’s on a very slightly angled horizon, and the stadium does kind of a fisheye type thing, but it has an aurora come down and almost touch her right over her head. Normal auroras arent as interesting, but if one swooped by you? That’d be amaz- err, spectacular!

Sorry to completely pull one over on you guys, but I have decided to change my topic. This will happen alot (most likely). My newest Idea is the Tower of babel. For those not familiar, it was a biblical story in which a people attempted to build a stairway to heaven (Haha very funny inside joke for LZ fans), but failed when god gave every person a different language. No one could understand eachother, therefor no more construction of the tower. This shot is a quick landscape/composition study to see how I could do it. Expect alot of these. I am planning to put people in it, either admiring it or having anxiety attacks because they cant finish it. Cheers!
