excellent, good to see u again, have fun! ![]()
.
Just something loose to get me going. It has nuances what I’m aiming for but still pretty far from it.
El fuego GO!!
Nice start man! good luck for the challneg…i’ll keep an eye on your work…see ya!
beelow: thanks :>
Fiolka Alexandre: thanks and same here :>
Squibbit: I know
This was just my “lunchbreak entertainment”.
Lovely concept sketch, Elfuego, the one point perspective works well and the lighting is particularly lovely. I think once you’ve added Squibbit’s Kaboomite, this could be very impressive! best of luck for the challenge!
Very nice lighting indeed, I like the sun in the background as well. But since this is only a get-going-sketch I’ll wait for what you come up with next.
Ok, I noticed that there needs to be a human(-oid) character involved with the scene
So change of concept.
Idea is about this man, a mystic vagabond in the middle ages that has an “repeating” laserpistol
Neat! Beats the old “sword and axe weaponry” for sure.
A young boy sees (he is lurking behind somehing) him blasting of couple of thugs/protagonist and the only impression that is redable from boys face is “spectacular!, That is something I’v never seen before”
So thats the plot synopsis in bad english
My first Sketchy version of this vagabond character.
Oh, really? again?? ah well…
I like your concept with the boys expression. I think spectacular has a lot to do with the people seeing the spectacular thing happening.
Loco!
Thanks for your comment on my sketch… I totally agree with you on keeping things simple.
Im digging your initial sketch, especially the soft colors. The character looks cool too. I’ll check back as you progress with your ideas. Thanks again! - J
Interesting Idea, I would like to se how you will go about this compositionally!will be back!![]()
Coolness.
My suggestion: If you’re gonna have a character with a moustache, make them more bushier and more impressive!
Suggestions for possible locations: graveyard, the boy is hiding behind a grave stone… wintery harbour (hiding behind a keg of tar his footprints in the snow leading behind it… foggy field with lots of sheep, who run away scared, the boy hiding behind a stone wall… a wineyard in france… by a canal in Venice… how about some location in Russia… ok, I hope that helps. ![]()
coCoKNIght: Thanks for your comments and the biggest challenge is to display this emotion on the boys face.
Sergey Banityuk: The variant was kinda same theme than the last one, but with WWI theme. So maybe I’ll get back to it (although it’s hard to do 2 themes at the same time)
beelow: Thats the problem I’m facing right now… I’ll post some composition sketches soon.
yunisirees: Thanks
I hope so.
JJ Naas: Great suggestions. I’ll try couple of those (Graveyard and Wintery harbour theme) Thanks dude! I liked the sheeps also. Can there be sheeps in graveyeard?
Feng Zhu says on his dvd’s that a concept shoud have a foreground, middleground and a background. It’s not a rule to have those, but it’s a good way to have a better concept. So, you are missing the middleground where the selling point should be. I think that if you add that, the shot will become more interesting. Try sketching a new one, no colors, just shading.
And remember that middleground should have most of the detail, background tells the viewer where they are, and the foreground brings the viewer in to the shot.
Here’s his website. Don’t forget to check his tutorials too. http://www.fengzhudesign.com/
Just my two cents.
omg :curious:?
