i really like the concept sketches and the tonal image is really good. The lighting across the image works incredibly well, and there’s a ‘spectacular’ sense of scale! :wink:

But the tiny flying figure could really make it work!! Fab idea!

I don`t agree with you if everybody makes explosions and tornados you must make the same… I think (especially in your portrait version) the steam punk universe/environment and the zeppelins are enough spectacular… if you add some action like a plane passig through it will be enough cool…

Anyway I`m looking forward to see more pics :bounce:

I really like that idea of a fugative who’s in great danger and on the run, but I’m wondering would it be an event that would get it’s own place in history? no doubt that it would be ‘spectacular’ tho.

That last concept sketch is really nice, I would explore that element of the single jumper more, maybe expanding it to a crowd of ppl? (Just had this thought about Lemmings)

Xillion - The first concept submission was traditional pencil/paper and ink/marker. I used prismacolor greyscale markers.

Rudeone - yea, if we had a vieo of this event happening it probably wouldent end up in the history books, but it would deffinetly be downloaded a few million times on the internet. Kind of like all those crazy powerade comercials. ever see the one where the killer whale ‘accidently’ jumped on to the little Kayak?

solothores - LOL, i think the lemmings idea would be too dipressing. at least this little guy may have a chance of snagging that airship on his way down. :smiley: good idea though…

This is already looking great code. Were you in the Product or Illustration program at ACCD? Looks like product but it is hard to tell these days since the majors are mixing a lot.

Oo, great concept: those architectural doodles look really delicious. And the idea of having the big picture, but with the story = nice.

But why does everyone - myself included - go for zeppelins? Any chance of you exchanging them for, say, something uncool? Like cars made from fridges and oil barrels?

aahhhh…environment sketches. I´m with you dude.:thumbsup: Great vehicle sketches, too. The vertical composition looks much better.

Currently the image looks a wee bit static > maybe because of buildings. that´s just the first impression.
