Spectacular 2D Entry: Adam Clark

This first concept shows archaeologists base jumping (or about to)into an otherwise unreachable castle ruins to set up an excavation site. I’m going to do another concept based on this with a higher view looking down on the actual ruins in the mountain, probably with some jumpers already in freefall. I may end up scrapping the it, but it was the first decent idea i’ve had, and i wanted to post something :slight_smile:

i really like the idea of the jump to the old ruins :). i think it is a good theme and with some spectacular lighning it will be, well spectacular *gg+

looking forward to the next sketch with the men already jumping.

I wanted to just try and get the lighting right in this. I think I might spread the ruins all over the mountain side and up to the point of the jumper to intensify the perspective. I’ll try that out in the next sketch. But still playing with another idea which i’ll post over the weekend. Thanks for any feedback :slight_smile:

Nice idea, the higher view would look good and maybe making the castle more remote. Maybe sitting on a pedistal with all the bridges broken that used to lead to it. just a thought …great stuff :thumbsup:

In my opinion, ruins seems to be the best from all concepts. I can’t say too much now. Im looking foward to see more.

Thinking about having the ruins already being excavated and researched by a team of archaeologists. Its night time and they are busy working away as a new member of the team jumps down. In this concept I had the idea that they set up torches to guide their way to their base camp/tents. I’ll probably use a similar perspective to the second concept I posted, but its going to be just as the moon rises and different sections of the ruins will be lit up by fires/torches. The reason they dont have good lighting equipment is because its too heavy to take with them when they jump:)

yeah i think ‘ruin’ looks best out of all the concepts,but i like the composition for the archaeologists base jump[font=Arial Narrow].:scream:[/font]

Really like the base camp concept sketch. Reminds me of climbing Mt Fuji at night. I never imagined I would be in a queue climbing up a mountain. Everyones torches highlighting the zig-zag path up the mountain.

Don’t know who these guys are below but they have a good crowd pic, on the climb down.

yes the actual ruins sketch is your strongest,lets seem more stuff like that,your other concepts looks good also,i like the idea.

Hey Dude, doing the 2d thing i see… like the concept, but think you sould doa a massive demon whisping in the clouds… that would be soooooo cool…

cheers man, I’m not too sure about the demon though:)… Well apart from wanting to go back to uni its not bad, although I still havent got a job!
