So it just so happens i begun a personal project “revamping” an old classic space harrier the same time this challenge was created. Im not exactly sure if the work im doing fits in completley, but after seeing Prog Wangs post I figure ill give it a shot. You can delete my thread if it doesnt apply enough for the challenge. Ill be working out the “rocket gun” and also designing the character to match. Im entering for the space fighter 2d and pilot 2d. My first post image are some simple roughs trying to figure out the look and feel of the rocket gun.

Ive since moved on to a blockout. Using 3d is new for me but the advantages are to good to pass up. Learned alot already from this. Fusion 360/WIP

And for scale purposes I did a render test to show how the action/figure is supposed to pilot this thing.

Really cool design.

I was going to comment that without knowing if its a fighter or mothership its hard to tell its scale and in fact it risks falling into the “assault riffle in space” trap that many ship designs suffer from.

Now that I see it in use it really falls in place. It looks exactly its size.

keep us posted with the progress.
