Sony Vegas 8 & Youtube HELP

HELP!
I recently captured my video game play of MGO with gamebridge and Virtualdub using MPEG4 V3 compression at 720x480 UYVY YUV 4:2:2 interleaved

then rendered as MPEG-1 using the NTSC VCD template, which is the best template i can find and familiar with in sony vegas 8.
(Audio: 224 Kbps, 44,100 Hz, Layer 2 Video: 29.97 fps, 352x240)

and somehow youtube still takes away at least about 10% clarity.

YouTube takes what you send them and reformats it - no matter what you do, you are going to lose clarity when oyu upload to YouTube.
