Sons of Anarchy WIP

#1

Hey everyone, I am currently working on a fan art piece for the TV show Sons of Anarchy. I am a huge fan of the show and wanted to create something cool and hopefully get noticed. I ended up deciding on using 04 Harley V-ROD motorcycle for my project instead of the ones in the tv show, my uncle owns a v-rod, makes it easier for references :). Right now I still have a lot of work to do with this scene. Some more modeling such as improve the tires, they are too blocky. I also need to add in the roll up garage doors. I have just diffuse map textures in the scene, will add the spec and bump maps soon. I want to change out the ground texture, as you can see the repeat pattern. For the lighting, I wanted to have the viewer eye focus on the bike and the teller morrow design. For now the scene is too dark, so I will add some bounce lights in the scene. My goal for this project is to show off my modeling, lighting, and texture skills in hopes of getting a job in the game or film industry.

I created this scene using Maya, Photoshop, and Mental Ray.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my project.

Nice work, the modeling looks great, any chance we could get to see a few closer shots of the bike?

Sure, I will post some close up shots when I get home

Good job, the bike even at this stage, certainly shows off your skillset too full effect, anyway will follow your progress.

Cheers

Here are some shot of different angles of the bike. I would like to mention that the Reaper logo on the gas tank is actually a drawing by PaleHorse. I thought the design was bad ass so I used it. But I will have to use a different design before the final render since he hasn’t response to my request about using the design. Also the render quality is a bit low, I just wanted to get the renders to be quick so I can get back to my project, got a lot of work to do

Tires will probably have to be re-do

Once again, the Reaper Logo isn’t my art. It belong to Palehorse. I will replace the logo in my next render. I just wanted to use it as a placeholder to make sure my UVs is working correctly. I will design my own logo in the next render.

Thanks Sacboi, Actually I created this motorcycle about a month ago and just decided to create the background. I originally was just gonna make a turnaround table or something. I’m glad I decide to do the whole background image.
