Some input :)

First of all, it’s looking amazing and I really love it so far.
Muchas Gracias

Only some minor issues:
Exotique is not in the list of book features (unless it is not supposed to be there).

I am a bit confused what the network is. It’s basically a link to other artists portfolio, right?
Or is it going both sides? Is there a plan to link cgtalk prints later on?

Once more - thanks for all the hard work. It’s looking fantastic

edit: something else I was wondering:

Now I noticed it took the images I already submitted earlier to the forums automatically in my gallery including the link to the thread. How does that work with new posts I make?
Is there a way to linking a gallery element to an existing forum thread in the future?

At the moment the network is a way to show your association with other artists, and their association with you (the link is 2 ways).

In the future there may be the option to associate yourself with companies or organisations.

Many of the books are missing, we’re working on having the books automated so that people can’t claim to be in books they’re not;

I’ll just jump in here and second that!

Looking really good, perfectly on par with the rest of the society network. It will be a couple of days before I can start testing stuff and uploading images and so forth, but what I’ve seen so far is very, very impressive

That’s an amazing idea, however I would imagine it would be totally embarrassing to lie about this 0_o

I was also wondering, if you upload an image manually to the gallery in your portfolio, does it automatically get added to the CGTalk forums too?

Yup - providing the image gets past Leigh’s critical eye. (Leigh does gallery validation - normally any image she rejects just gets deleted, but now if it’s from the Portfolio it just gets hidden somewhere else).

On the subject of the books …

Is it possible to add something that says I was on the advisory committee for Expose 1? This may not be of importance to most people, but it was sort of a “high” for me.

#7

aha! that’s good to know. So I have to bribe Leigh then…goes off to take notes.

And that’s really good to know, because I don’t consider my normal rougher illustrations good enough for cgtalk’s forum - that means I can’t upload them here to the portfolio either then.

And I agree with Kirt, that’s defintely something to be proud of and should be mentioned

By the way, there is still a problem with images being submitted through the portfolio system. There are a bunch of images cluttering up the gallery validation queue now that I just can’t do anything with

#9

Erm, what happens if you reject them? You can reject all of antrents and my “test” ones now if you want BTW.

#10

Are you sure it should stay that way about the portfolio gallery images going to finished work section of cgtalk? I’m like Natasha, I don’t want to post all my stuff in the cgtalk gallery. But it would be nice if I could still put some stuff in my cgportfolio.

Would it be possible to have a feature where you can chose if you would like to add it to the forums or not?
