Hey guys, went out and filmed a simple pan of an object and am going to comp a CG statue on top of it, the only problem is the pan is a bit jerky in places.
What is the best way to smooth out a panning shot in fusion
Many thanks, Chris

I had hoped there was a simple link on VFXPedia.com to point you to, but I can’t seem to locate it at the moment.
Ideally, just use a tracker on the background plate, and feed the cg statue into the foreground input, set the tracker operation to stabilize/match move and you should be good to go.
Alternately you can use the stabilize/match move function of the tracker, and set the matchmove settings to start & end, and adjust the intermediate points to smooth out the smaller bumps of the shot, yet retain the motion.
Thanks for the reply, I did indeed end up stabalising the shot and keyframing the transforms.
Cheers,
Chris
