Slate Material Editor



I’m wondering… Does Slate Material Editor have I/O nodes to modify a specific channel? Like building materials in UDK? Or any plugin that makes this work?


There may be, but max is not built that way because it doesn’t need to be. We use separate channels in UDK to minimize texture memory, which isn’t as big of a deal for high end 3D.


I’ve given this more thought and maybe you could do something with the output rollout and turning of levels corrections at the bottom there. You can select channels individually there.


You can also use/modify separate channels with the color correction map.
