I’ve started with a new series of recorded speed paints.
Some students started a daily speedpaint group which I’ve been
allowed to join. I’m recording them so I can see what I could
improve.

I had the luck that I could spend a full day on this matte painting.
I’ve learned a lot from this by simply painting it, still need to import
it into fusion, and animate a character into the scene.
But from what I’ve researched there should be a lot more 3D in it to make it believable.
I’ll be adding particles and glows for fire in the picture, as well as some other things
to make the matte paint live
Shame again there won’t be enough time, but it is deffinatly a thing I would prefer to again.
Maybe you should concentrate on forms drawing, as well as on a more consistent anatomy study. For example, set yourself a goal to learn all muscles of arm in one month, etc. Don’t jump from one thing to another. Some your drawings more concentrate on lines than forms.
Hey, thanks for stepping by mister3D. I know I should focus more on studying, but it is just that I don’t have the time. Once I’m graduated I’ll spend some more time on studying aspect by aspect. Now I just draw what I feel like drawing/studying.

got some great suggestion from Lyno ( http://linodrieghe.blogspot.com ) which I tried out today, but I guess I rushed it a bit to much to work out properly.
these are some sketches I’ve found in my sketchbook, the last few days I’ve spend a lot to much on drawing instead of exams.
I used mostly other drawings as ref to study how other artists draw characters.
Next I’m going to try and use these ways on photos!

I’m really trying to find a way to make sketches not that dull by just putting them on white. (the black on white papers)
So on wecookart.com there is this activity to study by drawing something 100 times, so I was looking around the web for how to draw feet and a friend showed me how david fynch draws his feet,
which made some sense to me, except that he draws the feet a lot pointier for his comics.
should be more than 100 I believe, didn’t bother counting em in the end !
