"Sketchbook" Thread of Smus?!

#1

Hello first of all
I want to show of some of my drawings that i did during life drawing classes. I will try to post my stuff after each Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, because that is when i draw.
If you really like i can show you some more of my work, things i “create” at school, some still life and maybe some of my digital work (pah didnt work in that medium for a long time [excluding logos, websites])

Well to introduce myself. I am 18. I come from Poland.
… and i definitely love art.

That’s all i think

and just to show you how big i draw

I had a terrible time with that piece… i didnt finish the sketch and the lady had her break
and afterwards she was in a slightly different position and the foreshortening of the legs was different… so a lot of improvisation. Anyway it didnt turn out as wrong as i thought at the beginning (considering the forms [i hate my personal style for now]) it looks wired i know but PARTLY (:D) it’s because of the foreshortening

and here is another thing that i did today morning (just had to try that after reading that great tutorial here on the forums)…
looks better in real life trust me

hey
i know that problem of scanning the pics … ^^

but how can THIS PICS LOOK EVEN BETTER? i think these are amazing!
i want to be able to do something like that too… but it’s all up to me:D
anyway: amazing line and shading quality i think!:applause:

i like those studies with the white linessupporting the forms, too.

so nice works!

A whole day of fun…
well I’m ill and I have to stay at home ;/

but whatever

here we go with some gesture (i drew far more but was to lazy scanning it all)

/edit almost forgot it. 30 sec - 2 min each gesture. The bones stuff took me about 8 minutes?

WITH REFERENCE

WITHOUT REFERENCE

and now some book of bones fun
the first one is from imagination using dr bones methods, the second one is a copy, just to learn that method.

Hi Smus, welcome to the forum
You have got a great start with your first posts, I am looking forward to see more of your stuff

I like this skull stuff, especially the mirrored skulls … I don’t know why but it seems like I see faces everywhere … also in your skull stuff… crazy

Keep it going!

@Intervain, Trunks, anandpg:
Thank you all  I’m glad you like what i do
faces, well I actually, see them anywhere, but i guess that’s how our brain works. It tries to find common patterns

Anyway here is a rembrant copy I’m working on… a study let’s call it a study, for I do not want to copy.
My goal is actually to catch the mood, the colors. I made some mistakes, that i won’t fix.
I made his body to big and displaced him a little bit. It’s a WIP and i’m aware of the mistakes I did (I hope so) and some things are deffinately temporary…
