Thanks to share your works, I’ll try to learn something from it.
Are you using Photoshop or Painter?
Sketchbook Thread of SaraD
Beautiful thread, Sara. You have a wonderful mastery on light and skintones. Your sons’ portraits are wonderful to see…I’m sure they will be really thrilled.

How come I’ve missed this thread so far !! A sin. Great skin rendering and I love that sitting woman, hope you’ll finish her
Oh - the lady is finished a long time ago, just forgot to put her up here:) You can find her in my portfolio, or on my website:)
Thanks for the kind words!
I visited your site and I just love your works, especially those flowers - the subtlety of the rose pettals is amazing… sigh - wish I could do that! Thanks for inspiration
Some more update. I hope you don´t get bored
ytresu - I use Painter IX for the whole process.

Hi Sara… This the first time i am seeing your thread… Your work is sooo inspiring…! Keep up the good work!![]()
Continuing the “close-to-heart” theme.
This is my son Anton and his beloved pony Dusty. Dusty just left us (Anton grew too tall), and this is a gift for Anton to hang over his bed. They had a lot of fun, and Dusty is deeply missed…

I have always enjoyed your paintings. Your portraits of your sons is looking good. I will keep watching.
Will try to finish this one, for a change:)
It´s a Master Copy from the latest workclass.

Hey Sara! wassup! been missing you for a while… welcome back, and happy new year!!
nice work on your master copy!![]()
Haven´t had any time for painting the past months, and everytime I´ve tried to start a painting (some OFDW´s mostly), I never have the time to finish them:( And I realized that some of the joy was gone. The thrill to see your motive emerge on the canvas…
So, I browsed around to see if I could find anything to paint with joy - and found the inspiration needed at Ben´s (Justmenias) gallery. He has some amazing photos for reference, and I just love to paint him!
So - here´s a start. I think I´ll keep this one in black and white, play around with brigthness and light, and then print in different settings and hang on my wall:)
