And the finished piece

Sketchbook Thread of SaraD
Hiā¦SaraDā¦
Beautiful rendering as usualā¦maybe a little more expression around the mouth areaā¦lips,
nostralsā¦that area is really deserving of a lot of attentionā¦and is where a lot of the horses character and mood is projected fromā¦you might check out someone like Fredrick Remingtonā¦HE DID GREAT HORSES.
Keep up the great work

Thought I“d try to finish this one:)
Some more work on face and hair, and now it“s time for the background/Surrounding. If I had started this one today, the background would have been more refined already, but I hadn“t realized how much that made things easier for me, when I started this one:)

In a flow:) And not enough work;) So I started a new painting. Have no name yet, and no story - but it“ll come:)

hi SaraD
awesome work, really like your skin tones and shading, wish mine where as good

SaraD,
Lovely updates - what reference are you using for this latest piece?
I really liked this piece without the black oval - just my 2 cents:

Sara - You work is great. What software do you use? I just started my digital career with Painter 9 and the Gateway tablet PC. I am loving it. I see you are using Lock as well. I used her a lot with my traditional color pencil work. Keep up the great work.

Started a painting āclose to heartā. A painting of my sons, Anton and Jakob. A difficult task, since I know their faces so well. Any minor flaw or mistake becomes so obvious

Hiā¦SaraDā¦

WOWā¦That little girl portrait came out ā¦GREATā¦:bounce: ![]()
Looks like you are off to a great start on the one of your sons alsoā¦really like that silvery blue gray that you are using for your backgroundsā¦keeping it loose and airy, in contrast to your beautiful rendering really is working well togetherā¦Beautiful work as always Sara, and always a pleasure seeing itā¦
TAKE CARE
