YOu have a great start here. One can see the form of the body very well. Nice sense of depth in your drawings as well. I really like the 6th and 8th sketch in your last post.

#11

Hey Michael:)
Well the painting looks very nice!..Good color palette:thumbsup:But hwcm the ear portion is so bright and illuminated more than skin tone:shrug:

#12

i see your point. it doesn’t fit the rest of the head. i think i’ll revisit this part. i just hope i’ll get the color right.

Thanks for the comment.

#13

Here are some more sketches. Male and female.

More To come soon

Great looking sketches you have here, and that painting looks awesome so far! I thinik the forehead looks really nice and rounded, 3d like, try not to loose that quality in the cheeks and rest of the face though.

#15

Thanks for the comment Roja

Well here are some more sketches. sorry for the quality. my scanner is not big enough for A3 Format Paper.

michael-olszak,

The painting in particular has a lot of impact! Good to see some traditional oil painting around here.

Good to see your drawings as well - I think that the main thing I might suggest is being a bit more patient with your lines - don’t think that you have to get the line exactly right at first, sort of let your pencil find the line and draw lightly at first until you feel confident that the lines are in the right place. Since lines work in relationship to one another to create form, it’s nearly always necessary to lightly place the first lines since they are without relation to anything else yet - once you have the opposite line established, then you can start to reinforce the apexes of the curves and to more firmly establish their relationship. I hope this makes sense.

Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Thanks a lot Rebecca. I appriciate your commant a lot. I have this problem that when i start drawing lightly i tend to try to finish the drawing at first try. And indeed patience! i really have to work on that!

Thanks again.
