Hello, I’d just joined the forum around an hour ago and during that time i started sketching.

Please comment and suggest what i need to improve =\

That is my about 15-20 min sketch. Ive tried to browse to this art section but there is too much to click and got lost. I’m trying to find some lighting guide of human figure, seeing that is also what i need to practice. Thank you =)

Not bad. His shoulders look to bulky to be normal, I’d lower them down and add some structure to the upper part of the body. And I’d also beefen up his abdominal muscles a tad bit. I drew a quick picture to help give you an idea. Hope this helps you man, and good luck. Please keep posting your progress. Cheers!

Hi

nice start!

Your linework looks a bit nervous.
What may help is to do following exercise when drawing:

Why not focus on linework only for a while? (not saying you must not shade, but one should not spend too much time on shading at this stage)
Try this: observe 3 seconds, then draw one line for the area you were observing in 1 stroke. repeat this for the other lines you want to draw.
It’s really important that you find “swung”, meaning being able to draw fluid lines.

Simplifying the forms often helps.
The shape of a chest, arms, legs, head, etc can be reduced to boxes, cylinders, spheres etc
Think 3D when drawing 2D!
