A GREAT book that really goes into the structure of the head, eyes ect. is DRAWING THE HUMAN HEAD by BURNE HOGARTH…might be of great help to you in your studies I think.
I like that last oil still life…Nice brushwork:thumbsup: …A good method to paint, is to get a colored wash on the whole canvas first. Pick a color that can be used as your mid tone color in whatever your going to paint…That color will act as a unifying element/color that will give your painting UNITY/ONENESS, pulling and tying all of the elements in the painting together colorwise.
Build up your lighter and darker color values from that midtone color that you first establish.
That’s just one of many methods that you can use…I just thought it worth mentioning, in case you weren’t aware of it.
