Still playing around with images connected with my recent topic:
Sketchbook Thread of Mal-1.
Recieved this in the post today, took less than a week to get here to the UK from down under!!
I was getting jealous with everybody else talking about theirs, so had to buy one!!
I’d like to tell you it’s not worth the money, but I’d be lying Johan…Sorry!! :bounce:
Another study of Heyez:
Wow the blue red and white colours are perfectly cool for shading lines. Love em’.I’m gonna try a few like that and post them in my sketchbook. Awesome work…
doing some life drawing there, Mark?
nice job on those, a little different as well…that book is great isn`t it? definitely worth the money…

I like it how messy but controlled these drawings are. Speedpaints are lovely also, although I’m not sure if the hatching makes them look better. Well, it depends on how you want it to look. Hatching pushes them towards looking like a drawing. Just my thoughts
Do show more!
Awesome sketchbook! I haven’t gone through all the pages yet, but I will eventually.
Great values and expressive colors from what I’ve seen so far. ![]()
P.S. What is it that you received in the mail?
Did a couple of 2 mins and then a long pose…these are done with pastel and coloured pencil:

love the movement and colour in your life-drawings

Thanks Annette!!
Calling this finished…
I like the unfinished quality of this painting which is intentional. I think it has a symbolism that goes some way in interpreting how one might feel caught up in these conflicts.
Used Alchamey Software to produce a mirror image, then worked ontop of it with Painter…still some way to go:
I have begun using a software called Alchemy. It is a software that really allows you to free up your work in the early stages, and in some cases creates an image intuitively:
Here is a video that shows how it works:

In my case this is what was created, something I wasn’t aiming for but what came out of some “doodling”:
Then this me taking it into Corel painter and beginning to push it further:
Yeah Alchemy Rulez! at least by the looks of it… downloaded it but haven’t used it yet… I have scheduled it on thursday (omg… scheduled? wtf I need to win the lottery so I can PLAY fulltime heh)
