Hi Alexander! I am glad you are feeling better about zbrush, and like you say the real power of it is in the freedom to experiment which was way more time consuming using poly modelling. I sure am going to watch those hips and would appreciate any other tips you have to give in the future. Thanx very much for your encouragement  [b]

Hey Amrinder! Man you are sure correct I will never forget this one  Do you think it would be possible to print this? looks like alot of bits! Yhanyou very much for your kind comments.

Hoi Nicholas, Yeah we had a server crash and all was deleted,… well that is the way with computers I suppose. Yes it will be great to see what you come up with in XSI, I am looking forward to that. Maybe you could put a link to your sketchbook in your signature here.

Thanx again chaps
Chris

yea you can get it printed in different part and assemble it together or the parts you think need to be together they hav to be attached to make a single file

#163

Thanx Amrinder.
Surprising,… would have thought this would be a difficult form to replicate, even in bits. Will have to check it out

Hiya,

Very nice work sir. I like the style that you have on your gesture sketches. You get a lot information down, but you keep it nice and clean. Nice work!! You have a good idea of form and structure as well. Your 3d is really nice as well, makes me want to do some more :). The skeletal warrior is nice enough, but some of the accoutrements just seem kind of fake to me. I just that it is just my personal preference. The sword in particular, it is very stylistic and doesn’t seem that functional. I know that it is suppose to be fantasy, but I still enjoy having a bit verisimilitude. I like the idea though and fabulous modeling. I bet that your computer looooved to render that :). You may want a upgrade. They are pretty cheap right now to build. Keep up the great work, and I hope to see more.

As always take care, be safe, and farewell

Awesome Red Star Char, i love random poses, great job man

Wow, that’s a huge work you are working on! It looks like a cyberpunk or even something like a steampunk! I can imagine how much efforts it took to make, could easily be a month.
Amazing details, crazyness, crazyness. :applause:
Some my points. Judge for yourself whether they have merits and ask other people for their opinion on this too, as I can be wrong.
I marked with blue the areas I feel could be improved.
The vein could e more organic by making it not so straight and not constantly strong.
The breast muscles could be placed more loosely from each other I think. The clavicles also could be not so close, and the muscle from the clavicle to the head is curved now unnaturaly from our right.
The torso muscles could be a bit more relaxed, the same as the line that crosses the torso norizontally. I think those areas are overdone, and though I understand why, they could feel more natural if more relaxed. He looks like he is preparing to take a punch in the stomach.
The lower forearm could be more smooth I think.
The hip looks overcurved to me. All those points are marked with blue.

Really awesome stuff Chris! It might be nice to see a tad extra skin on the decidedly buff guy  but kudos for an awesome sculpt.

Thankyou very much for the nice comment

Hi Alexander! You can delete the paintover if you need, I put it here on my own server.

Thanks very much for the observations, especially since you have already helprd on this sculpt before  Not exactly sure what you mean with the clavical but it sounds important. I am thankfull for all the suggestions and have a couple of questions about the paintovers. I cant read what you have written under the left forearm,… what was the text? Did you mean the upper body should go to the right? Then the hips would have to go to the left for balance I think. (edit, aw eek I get it,… those are softening off areas,… hmmm I am a little slow today) Not sure what is happening on the left leg though.

Thanks again buddy I really appreciate your input. Have put this one on hold as I am busy with a character for the domminancewar iv competition atm

Thanks for your kind remark teach. I have also thrown away all my credit cards

About the clavicle, I looked at bodybuilders photos, and looks like your clavicles are ok. The breast muscles also now seem more ok than I thought, maybe something in the middle of your and mine variant would be best. Just the line between them is too stiff. And also they usually make them look more pronounced then in a relaxed state when posing.
I wrote there “my variant”, meaning marked with blue are my variants.
With the left hip I think the curve now is not uniform, whereas it should be closer to an arc. Maybe my variant with hip lacks of muscles (you could make it closer to a bigger hip), but anyway I think the overall form should be more smooth.
Glad was helpful, anyway this community is for.
