Hi Chris,
I like returning here in your thread (so inspiring
)
btw - not sure - you have a new web site that you are working on? looks impressive!
I am looking forward to seeing it working …
and - great work here!
cheers, a.
Hi alenah!
Thanks for your lovely message. I am busy with new work for the site, and the site itself. Had a server crash so everything was lost off the net. Here are some drawings back.

Hi Chris
first your Drawing is very impressive, also your model very close to the draw
but there is a small hint : the face of the model not as the same as your draw
i think you was trying to make a model of criss angel is that’s right ?
Hi Belal!
Yes you are right. If this was a commercial project I couldn’t do that, but I felt the character should be older. I have been thinking the same thing and have some characters planned who are much younger.
Thankyou for the nice reply.

Kanga - I just had a chance to view your site. Most of your earlier pictures did not come up, but what I saw of your gestures of models was very strong and confident drawings. I wish I could pick up on the 3d stuff but I have too many irons in the fire, so to speak!
Hi Davey!
Yes the old site is gone and I am building it anew. The difference between what I am making now is too great to put the old and new side by side. Thank you very much for the lovely comments:), they are greatly appreciated.
I hear what you say about ‘too many irons in the fire’. I have also been concentrating my efforts more in one area.

Well its been a while cause I have been in skeleton hell:).
Kary here suggested it would be a good idea for the figure to have his foot up on something, so I thought a fallen foe might be good. Here is the under body. I call him R.I.B.

This was some of the toughest study I have done so far and I have gained new respect for the human machine! Here is the costume in progress.

A bit of the helmet.

And a sword paintover, using polyboost in max to finish it off.

Cheerio Chris
totally loving the sword
.i can understand what u must hav gone thru modelling the whole skeleton :argh: but i think the whole thing will look awesome now
WOW!! This is coming out totally cool!
A bit more detail on the skeleton would be great, but probably you are working on it.
Amrinder thanx!
Oh man what a job:). It’s just the kind of model zbrush doesn’t love.
Anand thanx!
Yeah there is no bump on it at all and no fine displacement. You are right, still working on it!
Thanx for the words guys.
Finaly a little volume with mad shadows. Still lighting nightmares. Lots of modeling to do.

HEY Chris …WOW …GREAT JOB on those bones…:applause: ![]()
Wouldn’t mind seeing those spikes on his chest armor sticking strait out like hardened sharp spikes…thicker at their base…maybe add two more shorter spikes where his nipples would be…He’s going to need some big hands to hold and swing that sword…maybe a thicker handle for that sword for him to get a better grip on it…Just a couple of passing thoughts that might be of some use to you, don’t know, but thought them worth mentioning…
ANYWAY…Looks like alot of hard work was done in creating him…GREAT JOB…![]()
TAKE CARE
Glenn
oh - Chris - this must have been a tough job, was it? I have no idea of how much work was that - but - from my “no-skills-like-that” view it feels like a “wow-pretty-tough” job you did on this piece
cant wait for more!
cheers, a.
Hey Glenn thanx a lot man.
You always have loads of good suggestion and I have put in a few already. Increased the size of the hands and sword handle and such. Thanx muchly for your post.
Alena,… you are making me blush
Thanx guys
Chris
I agree with Glenn about straightening the spikes on the chest.
Awesome model already though!
@ Sauron
Hey thanx Bill, was a bit of a risk with the eyes.
@ NR43
Thanx Johan, well that makes it unanimous, will change the spikes today.
Thanx very much for your support chaps, means a lot.
