Do you mean work with music playing,… yes, I like to listen to softy music: Ennio Moricone’s Once upon a time in the west, Winamp Shoutcast radio particularly Radio Rivendell and Polskastacja stations also classical and lately Blackmore’s Night. Do you like to work with music? What do you listen to?

Hi Fil
Thanx alot,… Will keep it up:)
Here a quickdesign sketch for the last character.

Cheerio Chris
you like’em sinewy and muscular heh? LOL I’d love to see you do someone quite the opposite hehe! Good job though ![]()
Hi teacher, great work with the sketches and good modeling work!![]()
Have you studied painting?
This modeling is the beginning of the zero or machining with the former.
I can’t wait to see it completed.:buttrock:
He he, I think you are right,… after this one I will have to go for a fatty!
Thanx for the kind words Magda
.
Hi zhandong!
I studied industrial design (product design) but did commercial drawing for a long time:) . This one is zero. I will have to fix the last one a bit.
Thanx for your kind word too.
Cheerio Chris
To echo Magda ‘Beware all ye (of > 2% body fat) who enter here.’
Neat stuff Chris. I like how the female figure turned out. Very lean, very interesting forms, the leanness not killing the sense of strength, etc. A gentler hand with visual noise in the final costume would have worked better for me. I question the sword design a little – the large blocky forms should be contrasting with the character, but it is landing on awkward instead. In the end it’s a hell of a sculpt, not every woman can pose in a metal bikini with a great sword and pull it off with panache :D.
Latest character is really good. What I noted: Take a second look at the serratus muscles, they aren’t reading right. Bottom of the rib cage (front view) seems flat instead of like an upside down U. The back muscles seem a little puffed out for the leanness of the guy. I get a Bruce Lee muscle tone vibe from the front and an extreme 'roid rage look from the back shoulders.
You’re carrying the personality of the sketch over well, and the sketch is great
Ha ha! Yeah never thought of it like that:)
About the girl,… Yep gonna have to rework that, it didnt go like I expected and the things you wrote were what I thought. The sword will have to be sculpted (specially the haft because it is a block atm) and lots of attention to the material. The lighting is kinda wierd and the suit comes out quite strange, back to the drawing board on that one!
About the new one I pulled the upside down ‘U’ out but will put it back to see, and tighten those back muscles. I want the face to have that spoilt emo boy look and am trying to inject that now. No idea what to do with the bottom part of the figure without it getting cliche, but I want the face to be expressive enough to carry the figure so the top part can stay simple.
Thanx very much for the crit and your kind words as well.
Cheerio Chris
Honestly the hair gets you 99% of the way there alone
It’ll probably be one of those occasions where less is more (ala comicery), but leave yourself enough brow ridge to do that slightly tilted head look like the sketch. Emotastic.
:bowdown:Absolutely stunned by what’s going on here mate… Each page is just a delight subscribed and inspired… I just received an Arnold Schwarzenegger bodybuilding encyclopaedia and will finally start up a thread and try flex my muscles in here soon. Thanks K!
@ DaddyMack
Hi man!
Thanx for the kind words dude:blush:.
Nice to have you here. I came here on your advice and have been concentrating alot on anatomy lately. There is much talent in this neck of the woods. Looking forward to you participating!
Hop on over to the official blizzard sites Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 and check the concept art,… its worth it!
Hows the teaching going?
Lemme know
Cheerio Chris
Busy lately with some commercial work that has gotten in the way of building the port folio:D. Here is an untextured version of Fred the Fireman that will be used in a short information animation intended to display firefighter’s training equipment.

Cheerio Chris
WOW, Chris!! I haven’t been here for a while… Beautiful work, both 3d and 2d!!
One little critique on the fire-man: his waist seems so straight! a few cloth-wrinkles above the belt and a bit more volume on the hips and buttocks should make him more natural. Great progress, man!:applause: I’ll keep watching!
