Thanx Rebecca!
Yeah I will tone the leg size down and move the right foot backwards. Also the ankles arnt really sculpted so I will get into that, Bridgeman help!. Man feet are hard!
Thanx for the advice!
He he thanx Anand;).
This is the first sculpt I have done in a pose so there are muscle, mass and stretching issues all over the place. It sure aint easy! My referance was hundreds of fitness model photos but none in that stance, so I am guessing it. Did you guys know there is a market for bodybuilder porn? I came across it while googeling and blushed quite a bit ha ha! Looking at it I think the right upper arm looks too short too, will stretch it and try get the muscles to flow better. Thanx for the advice.
Thanx Wolf!
Thanx Magdalena! That’s a real compliment comming from a Lady artist:) .

An update.

Shrunk the legs.
Pulled the right foot way back.
Pulled the right upperarm out in length.
Filled the face a bit.
tried to get some muscle flow.
Thanx for the help so far!

hi
ur work is nice i really liked the first head and the lady bust.in your current wip i would like to crit a bit.i think if you pose your self you will find that the hand which is holding the sword cannot stay that straight and relaxed (or maybe im too stiff :P) if you are having difficulty i would reccomend you try the pose yourself once and click it with cam. that way you’l find loopholes which you might not find otherwise…
looking forward for more
KM
Hey Kanga, good stuff, great to see your updates.
A little critique might be the size of the hands, a good proportional measurement is that the size of the outstretched hand is about the height of the face. I think the arms / hands appear small relative to the body, but it could also be the perspective view? Just food for thought, generally I might say to look at reference and see where the hand falls relative to the leg when the arm is relaxed and held straight down the side in a standing position. To me it seems like the tip of the fingers would fall pretty high up on the leg, which seems a bit short (but again that could be the perspective).

Hi! Nope you arnt stiff. I cant hold it for more than a few seconds either:). We can argue all day if something can or cant but in my experience if it looks wrong it is, especially in illustration. The fact you point it out says it looks off.
Thanx mate:). Will try another position.

No its not the perspective. The photos you chose show that clearly! I have a tendancy to make tall skinny figures with small heads and for action figures that is less effective than Frazetta types. I increased the head size on the model which wouldnt help the arms. I like the pose so I think I will redo this one with better proportions and a more sympathetic face.
BTW what an amazing resource. Those photos are quite high res and amazing referance. Brilliant site! Thanx for the heads up.
Thanx guys

Speaking of defined abs…
Very interesting look / firm style. The issue I see is how everything below the neck is extremely cut, and the face is extremely smooth. If ever there was a female that would benefit from some character lines this is it :). The delicate nose, and the lush lips would still help as feminitiy queues, but this could feel more unified with a bit of sharpness in the face.
Solid and interesting base here – isn’t super hero muscleyness fun?
Ha ha, you saw it straight away!
Hi kary.
I am trying for a combo tough body and sweety face:). She will have a huge sword only 2 cars can lift and skimpy armour of course. I know this is illegal and I was stopped by the fashion police twice while trying to upload. I was thinking the same thing so when its posed and armoured, if its not working I will pull out the old pinch brush and toughen up her face just like you say.
BTW forgot to say I like the knees on your last sculpt they are working really well. There are muscles flowing over the elbows and I dont know if you would see that for real but it looks good. Looking forward to your updates and thanx for the words.

So shoot us! We are on the last moped bound for Marvel city,… and we havent even told our mums what time we will be home!
Chris
Hi, I like your ninja woman…that’s a cool pose, and nice detail on the muscles on those legs and the torso piece.
Hey Kanga, nice to see the new work.
Some suggestions (and take these with a grain of salt) might be to double check the proportions of the head to the body - your idealized person is going to be about 7.5-8 heads tall (I double checked and this figure is 8.5 heads tall), and the head feels small relative to the body (though that could just be me). The upper legs seem almost as thick as the waist and much more developed than the lower legs (and of course, the feet ;)) plus the waist a bit thin for someone this muscular. I like the stylization but I might suggest double checking against reference of someone highly muscular for the basic proportions. Looking forward to more!
Hi Rebecca
You saw the proportion manipulations straight away like always! The head is scaled down just a tad to make the body more heroic, as this is an amazon. That means a few things happen. Bodybuilding women are straight up and down, they have no hourglass shape and the hips all but dissapear. They look like guys with a bikini top. The smaller head makes this worse. The figure must look tall at any size and I had to pull in the waist to get some sembalance of female form. The feet and lower legs will have heavily armoured boots with thick metal plating but I will pull out the muscles from the front view a bit. I have kept the sweet face as a contrast hopefully in the final version it will be a nice mix, like heaven and hell, good and evil, love and hate. Most body builders of these proportions have heavy jaws (from steroids) that look manly. Fitness models dont have manly heads but are not as developed as this.
It may not work, if it doesnt I still have the original shell and will change it. Thanx very much for your remarks:) .

Hey, this works well as an anatomy study. I would really suggest getting the most from it. Be careful with areas where lots of tendons connect, such as the wrist or the knee. I find those very hard to do even when I know what’s underneath. So be sure to gather reference for that. It’s just good to know and when there’s no need to guess.
Keep up with it!
A bit of costume and a hell of alot of research into displacement and uvs,… phew:)
