i didnt saw any female basemesh in lightbox but i’l check again.
the zbrush one u saw was actually a mesh made in 3dmax and worked over for normal maps.actually i started working on sculptris before zbrush so its polygon system really bugged me(i understand now why subtools are needed). but i want to really understand and use its posing capabilty. It’l b awesome if you can make a video on that too

No there are no female base meshes.
Did you mean just posing a sculpt with transpose master, or did you mean rigging?

I didn’t understand you correctly. I don’t rig in zbrush, only pose the model without a skeleton. I only do that when I don’t have plans to use the model for anything else apart from a still shot. I do all my rigging in Max with simple bones, and animation in Motionbuilder.

Here is a wip of a hunter boy and his bird. The bird is still just an under skeleton.
Had a look to see how the figure would be without the tusks. Put some muscles in the legs and changed the obliques. If they still look strange I will slope them even more, I think that is what looked strange.

Face is fuller. The torso has been refined and become broader. The chest has been softened to raise the impression of adolescence. Hard modeling on the shoes, gun and trousers. Clothing refinements done in 3dsmax and the gun in zbrush with clipping brushes and shadowbox.

Face and hair have changed, eyes closer together, muzzle broader, work on the arms, trousers, pouches, codpiece and the addition of goggles to control the robobird.

Hi Kanga! Somehow I missed this WIP, perhaps because I lost my account, thank you for helping restoring it by the way.
Nice work in general, especially the detailing! Some points about the anatomy:
-his posture doesn’t fit his bodytype. Such a posture is for a muscular big man with bulky muscles, where his back muscles are in tone. I think he would need to be more straight, as his muscles are not as big.
His lower part leg muscles seem a bit short, as well as I think you should look for architectural form in “Der nackte mensch” as a reference, as it seems you miss the general form sometimes making those details. I wouldn’t make this line between this muscle, as it is very rarely seen, and only in a tensed state.
His shoulder muscle seems too long. Maybe just a bit, and the posture makes it looking longer than it is. His breast muscles lower line is somewhere where the shoulder muscle ends usually. Maybe his breast muscles are a bit too short?
His elbow bone end is too close to the palm, there is a little space between them with ligament.
His shoulder, if he is so skinny, should have his shoulder bone inner end below be more prominent. At the other side of this end, there should be a little concavity. It’s where the other side of the bone outwards, it goes at the same axis. I’d make it more prominent there.
I think you could make his stomach in the upper part also more concave.
At the back muscles, there the scapula goes, its ridge there is always prominent with its triangular inner area. It’s never covered with muscles, maybe with fat, but not muscles.
The shoulder muscle has 3 sections: frontal, side and back section.The side section is the most bulky, and has those prominent segments where it meets the scapula.
I’d really encourage you looking for Bammes books, I know some of them are now in English, and they have what you need I think - the structure and main form practice, as you are good in detailing, but sometimes miss those basic forms. It’s the problem of American approach for anatomy I think, and Bammes is a clear winner in this area.

Alexander, wow! Thanks for the post. I had a look on the web and saw Gottfried Bammes has an English translation so I will order that on Monday. That looks like a very good reference. Thank you so very much for your detailed observations I am working on them. First I will have a look to see what I have done with the big shapes, as like you say those are the important ones.

With those Englsh books it will be a great reference, especially in the end of each topic there are those structure drawings. Anyway, the best book for anatomy for me.
The drawings are great, but the main thing is the approach for learning, it’s really essential.
EDIT: I just checked this book http://www.amazon.com/Artists-Guide-Human-Anatomy-Dover/dp/0486436411/ref=ntt_at_ep_dpt_1, and it’s not bad, but not as good as the Die-Gestalt-Menschen (American approach?). I would simply translate one of Die-Gestalt-Menschen parts, from page 43 to 83, really interesting stuff. Maybe some kind of text translator could help. The rest is good, but not vital. But very good illustrations for references. The problem American book doesn’t have 3d-references for sculpting, which 3d-modelers would appreciate, and the drawings are pretty weak there. But you can read English version first and then go with that better original.
