The zhanglu portraits are sexy! The first one is really well done.

The second one also looks solid, its really only suffering a bit because of the values. I think if they were pushed a bit more they’d help define depth and make it pop! The structure of the face looks good, just like I said push those values!!

Keep it up man, these studies are rockin

Thanks a lot for your comments retardedmonkey

You were absolutely right for the values. I guess after i got too focused on it for long i didn’t have the fresh anymore.
Here’s an updated version which I think looks better :

I recently purchased awesome tutorials by Katie Swatland Studios and even if it’s not really anatomy I wanted to share an attempt at digitally copying from Richard Schmid’s work.

Long time i hadn’t use zbrush.

This one is for a Speed Sculpting challenge on a french forum. Started from a Blender Base mesh and took it to zbrush for sculpting.

Topic was to sculpt a bust from a Disney Character. I chose the really cool genie from Aladdin.

5 hours total.

Hope you like it.

Greg

Yesterday I received my Jason Seiler’s DVD. It’s really awesome and inspiring. I decided to try right away my first real caricature attempt and the victim is my dad  I’m pretty happy with the likeness.
