Richa this is great! She is not exactly my type of woman (kind of dangerous) but definitely coming along. Hair looks great, skin looks good and cloth too, specially knickers, although I think the shading on the leather needs some work. Oh and maybe the right hand, even that proportions are nice, need some more contrast since it looks kind of flat.

Keep up the great job eh, I’ll see u tomorrow!

Riiiicha! Hey thats cool about the game co. Love this new piece. And I like this kind of woman ; ) The trigger finger is fat as all get out and you need to watch those edges. Some are really rough/jagged and others appear maybe a little to sharp. Otherwise, this is looking great. Keep up the great work Richa-doll.

hey ur new work is comin out really nice…hope to see more updates of it:thumbsup:

#145

Hey Richa!.. this one is coming out really good! One slight critique: the outline of the arms look kinda jagged… Is it because you down-res-ed it or something?

#146

In addition to what the others said, maybe add some shadow to the bottom edge of the heels of her feet?

Great painting already. Looking forward to see a bg!

#147

Okay everybody…about the jagged edges…i shaded it with hard edge dry brush for a traditional painting look…and it shows here:blush:
I am working on the edges now:arteest:

Amazing crits thank you guys i love this place:beer:

P.S. : Shay even i like the same…this kinda woman look great in cg:scream:hehe…lol

Hi there

Great to see what you have been up to - I admire the skill level of you digital artists :buttrock:

About your clay-sculpts… what clay are you using (is it grogged / eathenware (assume) or stomeware (prob not)? sometimes over-wetting clay while working, can cause it to crack (or the opposite where thinner or more exposed parts… dry out before other areas and cause cracks) which I agree is very discouraging! despair not  there are ways to save even dry pieces which have cracks…

Paper clay - the wonderous fix it all: either use ready made paper-clay - or make your own by mulching newspaper in water to a slurry like mixture - letting it sit for a while, and running it through a blender before mixing it at a suitable proportion with clay… 30-50% dried paper pulp can work well, maybe start with a little less say 30 paper to 70 clay (all this depends on the clay you are using…) The great thing about the paper clay is that it gives enormeous drying strength to the clay (is hopeless to throw on the wheel, but great for sculptural work), and also reduces the weight of the fired piece - as the paper will burn out.

You can use paper clay as a “fix it slurry” working it into cracks on dried pieces (using the normal method of scouring the clay-surface and really working the clay into the crack - beyond the cracked area, to give that extra support once it dries.

Sorry if this was a ramble

Hope all is well and look forward to more updates

cheers and take care
a.

Hey Richa

Welcome back

was mostly unwell

I hope you are feeling better?

Did you get to finish that woman with the P90?

I truly admire your sculpting skills!

The girl with the dragon tattoo… at the bottom “edge” of the jaw bone, where the tattoo continues on the neck, there should be a displacement there to avoid a flat appearance.

Hi CgIcecube,
You have a nice sketchbook here … great digital pieces !
I like your sculptures a lot! I would like to see more finished human poses
Would be great !

Keep at it!

Frejasphere, the clay i am using is called terracotta and it is earthenware…Yes i tend to use excessive water to smoothen the surface and sometimes some parts dry up quickly…You might be very correct:wise: Paper clay sounds good i will definitely try this weekend:thumbsup: Well i do need advice on clay work i.e. why i post my unfinished sculpts here:)“Ramble”:scream:

NR43, the woman with P90…i am planning to put Mr. Wills the bank robberer with her…they both ready to loot…but still figuring out the best pose for Mr.Wills:shrug:I tried several silhouette exercises to make the two characters fit in the composition…but…struggling:D

Trunks, Human poses…soon!..I am glad you liked my sketchbook:slight_smile:

DANGER GIRL!!!
I am quite amazed by the sketches of dangergirl…so working on it as time allows!..
The girl with dragon tattoo was “black ninjette widow”
and here are the three girls…my fav. Abbey Chase in the center

#154

love the line poses around the colored character… it sort of makes her standing pose a lot more dynamic, suggesting she is a very active girl, fast and dangerous

more please!

#158

wow… I didn;t notice that you are pretty good sculptor too…

#159

wow, i love your style so much :)!! very comic booky, but ive always liked that. a lot of flair and style in that abbey chase picture. looks great. the only thing that bothers me is that strong crease in her left leg, i think it throws off the stance a little bit.

your sculpture stances blow me away. the muscle tone. amazing. im so sorry they cracked :frowning: but inspiration to start a new piece right? eh? … eh?

XD
