Its damn cold here in Delhi…So i decided to put the lady on hold and meanwhile practice drawing skills on paper…
For the heck of a change i went up to draw an Ogre
Smthin new in my thread here…:scream:

Js messed up with the leg thr…

best to do the painting in 2D, but it will work for you if you use separate layers in Photoshop or other. Anatomy is bes learned thru drawing by hand, IMHO.

#107

Hi Craig:)well i never use photoshop without layers!..

While i m goin on with the lady…i decided to post this 3D sculpture work in my finished gallery with a bit of photoshopin on it :

Riiiiicha! Hey lookin good! Hand skills do make a big difference, but practice on the wacom is still priceless too. Keep up the great progress.

The girl is coming along very nicely. Can’t wait to see that finished : ) That staute looks very cool also. A few crits, from the knees down he feels a little slight. Maybe thicken the calves, shins, ankles and feet. The only other spot that could use work is the broken edge that we see where the arm used to be. Try and roughen that up. It should be sharper and more bumpy on the inside, if that makes sense. Look at some ref and see exactly what happend when say a marble pillar breaks. What does that edge look like and the interior?

Its great to see your progress - you should be proud : )

#112

Hi amrinder:)glad u liked 3D in my work:)Well the one in color theory is not from character designs…i picked it from 3d.sk…and lady is from Hong Ly’s CharacterDesigns Photoset_18:)Wonderful reference for action poses:bounce:

Heya Richa,

This is looking great! With respect to taking liberties with the snakes’ position, of course that is no problem - so long as credit is given to the original artist when you are finished, there is nothing wrong at all with doing an interpretive master copy - after all, anyone who does a master copy is going to come up with their own interpretation anyway. Looking forward to updates!

#116

Gonna start texturing nw

C & C welcome:)

#117

And frm my sketchbook :

#118

Hey Richa,

you have put a lot of work into what you do and also a lot of dedication and I can see it paying off!

Definitely interesting to see you hop deliberately to and fro between 3D and 2D. I really like to see 3D models, but everytime I try to tune into some modelling work I get bored sooo quick…:scream: guess I am a pure 2D guy after all…

Mu:) thanks
2D is very quick and it helps me improve 3D:scream:
Herez my final OFDW entry

I am feeling very bad the way i have done snakes eyes:sad:…will work more on it…
C & C welcome…

Hi Richa, interesting SB you have! The 3D work is looking very good. I like how you did the Medusa; maybe you could have put some more texture on the snakes? Your 2D work is looking good too. Keep going!
