Oooh!! Nice heads! It will be a good idea to look at your drawing in the mirror from time to time to check for orientation problems… For example, the old man’s head has the appearance of being turned a bit towards his right, but the nose is pointing straight at you, and also you should be seeing a bit more of the left jaw bone at this angle. The girl’s head is beautiful! give us more!!!

nice posts…just a few cents…in the first pic, the size of the eyes and the ears from one side look a bit different to other side…in the 2nd pic,…may be its the construction line on the forehead which is giving a false orientation of the whole face…

keep up the nice works…!!! :applause:

#204

Thanks for the great points !
Practice more and more is all I need!

#205

I discovered your thread now…really sweet to find all this interest and love for anatomy!
All your works show passion and perseverance…my grats for it!
I think you have a really nice taste in digital painting, I’d like to see more of this…and I was stunned by that painted eye: I’m really envy, I whish I was able to make such a realistic texture! I’m still struggling on it

nice sketches,… dont compromise, if u feel something is wrong try to redo or correct… all the best

#208

where r the updates…!!!…???

#209

some rough quick sketches while on vacation:

#210

hey…

nice to see the updates even while u r on vacation…

1st one was coming nice…but why half!!!..othr two r also cool…keep them coming!!!

#211

it looked good so i stopped in half wishing for symmetry modifier in my sketchbook
the ear and nose i did from memory and later realised figured out i need more lessons on nose structure:

#212

hey richa…i think u should’ve gone for th other half also!!:)…

anyway…nice posts again…for the ear…over all shape could be improved…line flows r looking good…but th forms and the contours can hav more work…u did well by drawing it from memory but nice idea is to be to compare it with real ref pic afterwards to know if there’s any flaw…

for th nose, the nostril(s) r coming way too down then the tip of it…but overall, again pretty well from memory!!!..

keep it up…try to draw a lots of rough pencil quickeis without worrying about quality, but trying to capture th forms…

all th best…

Hi Richa

Burne Hogarth’s book “drawing the human head” has a lot of valuable information on the structure of facial features and how to draw them. You don’t have to copy the drawings from the book or anything to learn from it… reading the text is a lot more important

Keep those studies coming girl, you’re doing great!

#214

The real reason of keeping it half is that i finish it wherever i am satisfied that i am done with my study since its main aim is to study each feature and its placement in the proportion of the overall head structure so I leve it when i know it is done. “Try to do lots” yes I am

Thanks for the recommendation Johan
