Agostinuk Chimaera,
You seem to really have a knack for capturing the mood / essence of the person portrayed. Really like the drawing and the basic skintones you’ve selected here.

Thank you Rebecca. I’m just copying

I forgot to save a second snapshot, here the last btw:

hi there,
I think you have a very interesting way of subtly adding the right values and hues after you laid down the initial block in…

Thanks for the nice comment Mu

here the usual snapshots, 1) laying down the basic elements

Fighting with tones

Fighting more and declaring this exercise finished. Caravaggio KO Agostinuke at the 3th round.

Agostinuke,
Lovely work on this last piece, you’re very good at capturing subtleties in the gaze and warm skin tones. Also quite cool to see the progress shots.

Thanks Rebecca–

I’ve found another photo of this, maybe colours here are a little bit more saturated and close to the original:

Agostinuke,
I thought I had replied here, but I guess I had not…I really like the way you capture the tones of the face, there’s a feeling that makes the portrait is much more alive.
Looking forward to your next update.
Cheers,
~Rebeccak
wow almost one year later! Looking forward to participate in something here again… Ciao Rebecca.
Hi
I smell something Burne-ing here
Great thread, good that you decided to keep it alive
looking forward to see what you’ve been up to the last year
Hi…Agostino…
A real pleasure going through your thread …Great painting studies …![]()
Nice to see those Burne Hogarth studies as well…hope you are also reading what he is teaching, absorbing his words, and not just copying his images. What he has to say in his lessons, will really be of more importance to you when you go about creating figures from your own imagination,
from living models, or photo’s …
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK,…REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING MORE…![]()
TAKE CARE

Thks Rebecca, Johan and Glenn
Yeah I’m reading his writings…
and many others’ too
I hope this turns out in something good.-
Yesterday I downloaded the trial of a famous sculpting program and started to see if I could make something out of it. Actually a couple of years ago I studied the previous version a little so I already got my hands on the interface, but I didn’t have the possibility to use it further. Yesterday I created a simple ball and started pulling and pushing until something came out. My girlfriend said “hey! lol” and some more comments that encouraged me to try it a little bit more.
Ok. I’m posting here my little experiment. The last image is the crappy result of a try on projecton master; clearly UVs are completely messed up. Probably because I started with a ball and not with a zsphere…Don’t know Ill check this later. Before I want to experiment on sculpting a little more. Anyway I liked the last img and put it on my desktop background
