Perhaps we need a Silo forum?

I would be quite interested to know the ins and outs off this bridge method. It looks like lofting but I never saw it done in a box modeller before.

Actually Greg, I am also interested to hear any re-buffs to the criticism that I made of your first head modelling tut. You just seemed to try and persuade me that John keats didn’t know how to spell his own name which I found a little odd.

It’s good to have open discussions so that we can learn our faults and improove… right?

Yea. . . it is interesting. But John. . . Honestly. Is it “Incredible”? Worthy of a star twinkled introduction? It seems that when you make a claim of incredibility, you have upped the expectations of those looking at that claim.

Say I found an AMAZING! chicken. And everyone goes and looks at it and its just a chicken. I would expect people’s natural reaction to put the chicken back in it’s place. AMAZING Chicken + Retarded Chicken = Normal Chicken. There. . . the world is in balance again.

Bruce Gregory = Dudes name so. . . your a dude.

Creating Star Spangled introductions to an obscure modeling method . . . makes you funky.

Wegg:

And, because you own this forum you can get away with saying whatever the hell you like.

And, it is an amazing chicken!

Have to agree with Wegg. I’ve seen some pretty funky techniques in your videos. If you were achieving professional grade results with them, then hey, I would take notice. But you’re not, so I don’t.

#14

I actually don’t own the forum. I was nominated to moderate it and do it for fun. This is CGTalk’s forum.

And think you will find that anyone can say anything they want. I’m like. . . the anti-moderator. Just don’t expect anyone to blow wind up your freckle if we don’t agree with your labeling.

I’d love to see what this box man looks like in AM. Could you show us?

#15

Not to throw gas on the fire but…

I thought it was pretty interesting. People do things different ways and they learn things differtent ways. Some people draw proportional anatomy by drawing a lot of circles and using all kinds of circle formula. I don’t but it works for them and the end result comes out just fine.

True, it may not belong in this forum but I think the “Polite” rule would/should still be in effect.

#16

I think it was the way it was worded that I am miffed at more than anything else. If it would have been "Hey check out this new way of modeling. . . " I would have probably had a look and passed it by without comment. When it is the “Incredible Bridge Tool” from a product other than AM in the AM forum. . . that draws my attention and rubs me the wrong way.

I don’t know, Martin likes it.

Hey Greg,

i really liked the tutorial ! I think it took you a great amount of time to make it and it’s great when people doing FREE tutorials for others, so please don’t stop making them !

I saw your link in the silo forum (http://www.silo3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1451) and there you got only positive responses !

I think this Violent??? troll had a really bad impact on this forum. Nobody should try to imitate her because she was just a rude person and got banned for it !

Now why don’t we all just chill the mother efers out before someone gets hurt.
I will however retreat the mother efers out of here if you guys turn this on me!!!

#22

Why do most of the Mods at CGTalk think they are above everyone else?

#23

Uhh. . . they do?

#24

That seems to be like Wing’s Bridge feature except it works on the object level instead of only the face level. Neat but not really for me. Thanks for posting it though.

#25

Yeah without the question mark

sorry - i just thought calling his modeling method retarded was a bit much

#26

Duly Noted .

Martin likes it? You mean Martin Hash likes Silos bridge tool? Why? No seriously-why does he like it. Id like to know his thoughts on it. Thanks-
