somehow, that reminds me of where Homer works, you know the nuclear station thing. anyway, you have a 7 monitors in your home, wow I bet you dont take any liquid stuff to those rooms. Also the bills are wow.

Great Superstation you got

#162

The home actually has 15, excluding 3 which are TV’s and 2 which are video and excluding the few laptops, and there’s another odd one that’s a touch screen TFT that acts as the central jukebox and media interface (as well as the controls of the home security system). I do allow liquids, though. Never had a spill that was too serious and there’s always coffee… can’t be sitting and working without having plenty of the good stuff. Though for the better liquids there’s a small bar which is way more suited for drinking.

Its ideal to have a whole screen for your workspace and as many menues as you can get on the other monitor. Not all apps allow this but for instance with 3dMax you can have a whole screen just for the curve editor.

Also great when learning new apps you have the tute next to you while you work.

What do you do when walls meet?

#169

Maybe live in a Roger Dean house?

#170

Was just kidding. But money for thoose rigs are hard to get when your 14. Time is an easier element.

#171

You mean I would have to clean up my workspace AGAIN??!

#172

At that age you shouldn’t be concerned with getting money for expensive toys but… uhm… zits, girls, and… homework?

#173

Sparta, you only have 11 icons on your screen.

All you really need is a 14 inch, 640 x 480 monitor :wise:

#174

Yeah cause we only get the big monitors for the icons.

And we only get macs for the fonts. (thanks leigh, that one’s a classic)

Who’s Leigh?

#177

leigh is one of the adminstrators here, and the mac thing is in reference to once of the ‘dumbest comments’ threads.

I’m affraid that picture is a little deceiving. A closer look would tell you that the software on the monitor is merely Combustion on XP. The monitor is switched over to the PC. The Octane has very little duties sadly these days :frowning:

The tablet is a cheap NISIS. You’d normally get a Wacom like one of yours with the Octane, I don’t have the room at the moment.

How do you get on with those 3d pucks like you have?
