Hah, I remember seeing that photo; wasn’t that what a future home PC was supposed to look like? At the time, everyone was amazed… a computer small enough to fit into your house? whoa!
Show us your rig! Photos of your workstation.
i believe that’s a ship of some kind lol, i can’t imagine why a computer would need a steering wheel
i know dude, no portfolio\website :surprised im always amazed to see that.
tief666 show us what those things can do please, that’s all we care about
here’s mine in his habitual position next to my girlfriend laptop. He’s part of the rig

Thanks for the compliments everybody!

This is me on my FIRST rig
learning maxscript.
Ragdoll, Are you playing this Friday?
wow thats the biggest mouse i have ever seen :).
I do think though that if you don’t have the prettiest setup and a system that is 2 generations or more out of date shows how passionate/persistent you have to be to continue to learn cg.
Nice setups guys.
Are you kidding? That is the most important part of my rig. An Atari 2600 is the brain of my super comp (after the update last year). So, to play Pole Position, the steering wheel is a must!
ps.: the steering wheel also works as my mouse (the term ‘navigation’ comes from it).
damn, i wish mine had a steering wheel
mine only processes 35.86 trillion floating point calculations per second

here are my specs
the ES is based on a SX-6 architecture. It consists of 640 nodes with eight vector processors and 16 gigabytes of computer memory at each node, for a total of 5120 processors and 10 tebibytes of memory. Two nodes are installed per 1 metre x 1.4 metre x 2 metre cabinet. Each cabinet consumes 20 kW of power. The system has 700 terabytes of disk storage (450 for the system and 250 for the user) and 1.6 perabytes of mass storage in tape drives. The ES is almost five times faster than ASCI white.
Ok, I just receive mine. The trains(52) just came this morning to deliver it. I can run some pretty software and i can move a turtle along a X and Y axis in real time. As for the sound, I place it in the garage, a little compromise for big performances. now my only worries is about the gas price.

ok, now can we go back to the original thread?
I’ve had a few upgrades since the last time I posted in this thread. It’s still a piece of junk though. (desktop byryohei!)

If you’re wondering why I’m still using that mouse pad, it is because that was my first mouse pad - ever. I just managed to keep up with it over the years. I think I got it in 1998.
Hey Guys,
I thought it was about time I got in on this, my brother Chris and I share this setup/office type area. Well, actually it’s my bedroom as well. Anyway I took a few pics and also pointed out a few key features with the help of photoshop.
I didn’t really have anything else to do today, so I thought why stop at just the office? Why not take a look outside? So we ended up snaping some shots off my deck and then made a crappy panaramic of the view.

Thats my Desk Area in the link, sorry could not get the picture to work!
I like to keep my desk area very clean haha and me room also haha, it pretty much looks like that everday! im a werido clean freak!
Ok I finally found a way of photographing this room without having to knock down a wall to do it. Literally stood up, took pictures, sat down. No tidying. So here’s my xxx rated unsullied setup:
The line in the bottom picture is the edge of my wardrobe. Behind that… the wall! Have the light on atm. Though it’s August, things are rather gloomy round here today. Should mention that Stop Staring is on my speaker due to lack of deskspace atm. It regularly gets an airing!
Um… other stuff. Picture I did at college when I got bored, fan to keep things cool, coffee a safe distance away from fan, desktop scanner under the desk (space issue again)… all kinds of excitement.
