Nice! I like it.

Well i guess I should contribute to this thread. Not much but it’s my heaven

#862

whats that thing left of the wacom?

#863

Looks like a 3DConnexion SpacePilot

#864

Pretty certain I’m somewhere in the ethers of this thread… :argh:

I’d take a new photo but I’m such a small room now, I’d have to knock the wall behind me down and take the photo from the neighbouring room. All the books, dvds etc you guys have on desks are on a bookshelf behind my door.
Tief666: tell me you didn’t tidy that desk up before taking the shot ;). If you didn’t I’m impressed. Tidy space, tidy mind.

A. A noteboard that looks pretty much the same as it did three years ago when I thought it would be a good idea to put it up there.
B. My wooden dungeon door.
C. Dell monitor
D. Powerful computer
E. A comfy chair which is a bit too comfy and I end up sinking so far down that my chin ends up in line with my keyboard.
F. Some camera gear (including a 35mm film SLR would you believe?)
G. CDs which look blank but never work when I try to burn something. I keep them there in case they magically decide to work one day.
H. Armarula
I. Wooden dice pen holder made in high school.
J. Logitech wireless combo.

#866

MMMmmm…Amarula…

#867

Yes, Amarula tastes awesome.

By the way, I’m liking Tief’s setup. Has a few things on my ‘to buy’ list… like that monitor stand/arm. I am confused though, is it attached to the desk somehow? I find it hard to imagine such a small base would be able to support so much weight.

#868

That door is fantastic! Wish I had one that shape.

#869

Dad made the door. It had to be custom made to fit the original archway. Took a lot of bloody work to get that arch shape right.

Just did a clean up, took the opportunity to take this pic - Hernie the Dell Precision T7400 weighing in at 55lb (24.9kg) - Dual Intel Xeon E5420 (2.50GHz,1333FSB,2x6MB,Quad Core); WinXP Pro x64; Memory 8GB; Dual nVidia Quadro FX 1700; Hard Drive 2 x 320GB.
My older computer Dell XPS M1710 on top.
Logitec VX Nano mouse and Sub-woofer.
2 x Dell UltraSharp 2208WFP Black 22" Widescreen Flat Monitor(1680 x 1050)
Put the desk together myself which wasn’t easy, top drawer wouldn’t fit for some reason, chair is from the kitchen.

the old set up

a close up of the view, one of coolest part of it is the lighthouse from the land ahead at night time

Other gadgets

#871

That’s a pretty sweet view you have there.

Sounds like a pretty beefy rig too.

#872

Guys, you may not notice… But a thread like this really does confess our dorkiness…

It’s really really bad… That being said, here’s mine…

#873

Your cat really knows how to blend into a scene!

#874

It is, makes up for no wall space for putting stuff on. Thankfully the landlord has already offered us another year’s lease and this lease isn’t even up until October.

confession time - I posted here a couple of weeks or so ago that I’d never buy an iPod blah blah, but some of you may notice sitting at the desk is an iTouch - didn’t know that puppy existed then and well it wormed its way into my heart (and purse), i’d highly recommend it.

#875

Yeah I know, and his ears indicate that he hears something behind him, but what? (theres just a wall there)

lol

#876

I’m pretty sure the ‘worst comments’ thread has that claim to fame. I mean seriously, I can picture the three nerds from the simpsons saying some of those things.

#877

Since I moved for work, this is the temporary desk.

Yes, as you can imagine, I’m not getting much stuff done on my computer at home. Thankfully, at work I have a nice desk and chair.:stuck_out_tongue:

#878

All over the world, we all made make ‘dice pen holder’ in high school!

#879

lol! that’s so true!

#880

Here’s my rig. It works with 12,622 AAA batteries:

It renders a 320x240 frame, scanline, one point light, no shadows in only 78 days!
