i posted before (#755) but moved to another room, and got another PC

So I finally sold all, except one outdated computer, to buy a new desktop. I had 5 computers that I custom built starting from about 10 years ago up until about 5 years ago (I have a hard time getting rid of stuff). Decided to try out a place that would custom build one for me, since I don’t have as much free time on my hands these days (5 month old girl). I went with CyberpowerPC…very bad idea. Anyway, here is the list of toys…
New(ish) PC:
(leaving it at stock settings for the moment, but ready to overclock when needed)
Core 2 Quad Q6600 (2.4GHz)
4GB OCZ Reaper 4-4-4-15
EVGA 8800 GT 512 (x1 at the moment)
ASUS P5N-E SLI (I don’t recommend-memory issues) w/ northbridge fan I added (gets hot w/ stock heatsink)
Thermaltake Toughpower 750w PSU
Coolermaster Aquagate S1 (cheap, but works pretty good)
160GB Toshiba 7200rpm
LG DVD/CD-RW
Vista Home Premium x64 (yet another chrome plated turd crapped out by M$)
Below the new PC is an outdated PC with programs I still use from time to time.
An outdated IBM Thinkpad. Currently looking into getting a new notebook with my tax returns
to add to my pile of crap.
Benq G900 19’
ViewSonic VA902b 19’
XBOX360
Wacom Bamboo and a Hanvon Tablet for my notebook (a pretty good tablet for the price)
Canon Pixma printer (free with my purchase of the Viewsonic)
cheap speakers
cheap chair (but comfortable)
…and a bunch of other crap.

Woot! Ambient-whisper’s room feels very inspirational to me =) Something about the lighting and the feel of the room. Combine that with Brian Brigg’s setup and Essania’s and I found my perfect workstation/workplace.
Jangell’s and Stefan Didak’s though make me run away screaming. Both for very different reasons of course =) The latter being my irrational love for my genetic information =D Very nice set though =O
I hadn’t noticed this thread before, I assumed that it was just for pimped up custom PC’s.
I had 30mins spare while I rendered so I grabbed my camera and took some random photo’s round the room and let Photoshop stitch them together for me…not the best stitch I’ve seen but I quite liked it:D
It’s a real mess, I haven’t had time to tidy as I’ve been really busy and my girlfriend has a habit of filling any space anyway so it’s easier to fill it all with my own crap first.

heres a quick pano.
4 macs all running vista (the shame)…and Alfie the wonder dog (and integral part of any office!)

Jangell’s setup is my favorite by far. So much…uh…information to process in that photo. I could spend all day rummaging around that room. Looks like some kind of hacker lair dreamed up by a cyberpunk novelist.
Nice clean look there Grohu.
Though I have to ask. Is that a closet at your house? Or your booth at work?
Haha I wondered if anybody will ask. Yes it’s a closet
It’s big and air conditioned so It’s a great place to work as I have a very ‘loud’ 4 year old daughter and in there I just shut the door, play some music and enjoy my time ![]()
Damn…most of your guys’ rigs look badass. I can’t compare, but here’s what I got:

^^Includes: Event TRN5 Studio Monitors, HP Printer, HP scanner (junk!), Boss DD6 Pedal, Shure SM58 mics, Midiman Radium 61 key keyboard, Yamaha SY77 (old, but it has some KILLER Rhodes). I also have a Roland Fantom-X 61 locked up in its case (not in pic).
Future plans:
I need to get another lcd monitor, a wacom tablet, wireless router, and I do have a 42" plasma but I just haven’t had the time to put it up.
I think I may’ve posted here onc ebefore but it wasn’t while I was living here. Here’s my current setup with less computers then I usually have.

I built the counters from two cheap ($75) computer desks reconfigured and reinforced. The top cabinets are made from $25 cubes from Target.
