wow i just watched that… thats pretty gay i never knew that beore a couple of my buddies just went out and bought ipods too lol… i gotta show them this…
Show us your rig! Photos of your workstation.
(As much as I personally dislike Apple, I would like to point out that that video is old, and therefore, perhaps the newer models accomodate replaceable batteries.)
I dislike all hardware companies. Just because they should be making smaller cooler chips, not bigegr hotter ones. grrr
I just like showing people that ipod video to people who have Ipods. Serves them right for falling for being trendy. Shoulda got a creative zen drive.

Bar the logo, and being able to call yourself ‘trendy’. Whats so special about it? Out of curiousity. Is it the best picture quality available at the moment?
Actually nothing specifically amazing about the Apple version…it’s the same basic screen hardware as in the Sony 23" flat panel. But, they have cultivated that tech-sexy image around it, and the way their new line looks is way cooler than the previous ones, have to admit.
I’m still waiting for other manufacturer’s equivalents of the 30" though…need to get that down to less than $100/inch…heh.

its an earlier picture and the best i can find so far. its actually supposed to be a joke for a thread: ‘post your desktop picture’ …<- no one got the joke
sorry for the low quality. (its my rez room btw)
the comp was my old PIII6xx
probly not the best machine but i am happy
and Maya runs on that machine!!
will post my home one once i get a digicam from me friend
Yes, it is delightfully depressing
On the celing, it has 2 really large industrial florecent rods that makes time stand still. I can never tell when is night fall. And behind my seat is a large table fan that makes the strangest humming noise. And those pale white wall doesn’t really help my sanity
My workspace is like that.
Windows are your friend
(real windows, glass windows, real glass windows)
Yeah I saw it a year back and I really don’t care.
The new models have batteries that last longer, they’re still un replaceable but if you look after it you really shouldn’t have to replace it ever.
Those guys really dramatised the whole thing, I mean, my older brother still has a 1st gen iPod still in perfect working order, the battery has only depleted about 25-30% overall. I think that’s pretty good for 5 years of use.
Plus you can actually replace the battery yourself. It’s not that hard to buy one and put it in.
Apple gave guidelines on how to get the most life out of the product, if those guys want to go their own way, and then find out they’re surprised by it losing power, it’s their own fault. It was stupid to go around painting their little personal vendetta all over the city.

Here is my rig if anyone cares.

Hehe. Only me month old. Built by me. ![]()
It looks like your computer is already having the blues.
And it seems to be addicted to blue mushrooms, which might give it wild mood swings.
Does the other LCD bullies it by calling it a CRT?
Hey that’s really neat setup Tr@ceR!
I love the fact that you’ve themed your desktop, in reality… Very cool…
Feel: I totally agree… It’s my 21st this Monday so I’ll see if I can slip a word in. ;D
Haha… Unlikely.

Actually, leaving the side of your case open kills airflow through your system and increases heat dramatically. Your fans don’t really do anything when the side is open. If, for some reason, you have NO case fans, then leaving it open is probably optimal, but I don’t think even crappy $499 Dell computers don’t come with at least one case fan.
I have no idea what i’m gonna dress up as at your 21st :(…i’ll have to do some shopping
i think you need apple LCD.
