#208

that does look good…however, I still think I’d rather have an analog piano with pickups;)

#209

Yeah, but an analog piano will not be able to input filter sweeps, envelop tweaks, modulation, pitch bend…etc in realtime, while a highend master MIDI controller keyboard can perform almost identical to a real piano. Also, 99% percent of us cannot ever afford the extremely expensive grand pianos, but with a highend sample library, you can own different models of the best pianos ever manufactured on planet earth for a tiny fraction of the price, not to mention to be able to fine tune it’s sound, and also enjoy all the benifits of MIDI editing to the very last detail in whatever highend sequencing software. Your MIDI master keyboard can also be used to perform all styles of music, with all styles of instruments, while an analog piano can only do one thing only.

Sure, I’d love to have a nice expensive grand piano too, but unless you are super rich, it’s far more practical to do the whole MIDI thing with highend sample libraries (and it’ll sound much better than whatever mediocre analog piano you can realistically afford too).
