Hi

Heres my rig <edit> circa 4 years ago!!! I should really update this post<edit>

Thats 1 19" tft and a 19" crt (so I always get colours right)

Amd 3500+
2 gb of ram
9800 se
raptor 10,000 rpm sata 36gb
WD 160gb sata
The best dvd drive on the market

Also note in the image a drawing tablet burried under a 1gb per sec ethernet router.

And cathodes in the case with a led fan in the back and in the psu.

Also cropped from view is a 200w rms sterio system with subwoofer.

#6

my specs are not great compared to you guys, so I’ll keep that to myself.

edit
I don’t think this qualifies as a “workstation” but…:
Athlon64 3000 @2.35ghz
1gb pc3200
Wacom Intuos3 6x8

the best part is the removable card reader!!! i just press a button and it pops out so i can take it anywhere. heh.

#7

Specs arnt good? U have amd 64 badge on it. anythi ng with a amd64 badge is hot stuff.

Nice case!

#8

okok fine fine. i edited my specs in.

#9

Not too shabby after all.

8 months ago I was working on a 14" screen and a 1.6ghz processor, with integrated graphics and 640mb of 2700 ram. Now thats embarrasing.

#10

a two month old pic of my home office, with a small sample of my toy collection, it’s really messy cause I was putting up shelving.

two computers:

workstation: P4 3.4Ghz, Nvidia 6800GTO, 2GBDDR, Intuos 3 6X8, 19" LG LCD.
rendermachine: P4 2.8Ghz, Geforce 4 64MB, 512MBDDR, 19" CRT.

#11

ok im doing some rendering (in for the long haul…) so I’ll unleesh the geek in me for a sec:

P4 2.4ghz
1GB DDR333
Quadro 900XGL
Mitsubishi/NEC DiamondPlus 230SB
Wacom Graphire 2 A6
MX1000 laser mouse
RAID (some ancient array, who knows)
1 x 160GB WD
1 x 80GB Maxtor
1 x 60GB Maxtor

This box is starting to look seriously bus-pass-worthy. But it does what I need, just about

#12

P4 2.8Ghz,
Nvidia 5900FX
2GBDDR
Intuos 2 6X8
Dual 19" Iiyama

Lacking a statue of ABe from oddworld and Mickey the Wizards Apprentice that got added after tacking this picture

Kwak, I love that human anatomy statue man, any chance you know where I can get that ?

#13

www.freedom-of-teach.com

every modeler should have one of these statues.

#14

They are sold out :frowning:

#15

Lol I hid all the stuffed toys before taking my pic! You people have no shame. (I had pandas everywhere.)

Although I left out one panda, £0.10 (thats around at current exchange rates around USD $2000) to the first person who spots it.

#16

yeah, version 1 is sold out, but I’d recommend you get version 2 anyway, one of the guys here at work got a v.2 and I really prefer it, the details are so much easier to read with the flat grey surface, plus it has the turntable.

#17

need to check my balance, might pre-order it for when it’s available again. it ROCKS.
incidently, there are some nice ref images in a zip in the download section on that site.

whats the poison? can’t see it clearly

I think you missed the wallpaper

#19

don’t call me by that damn name pls! I’m desperately trying to shake it off

wallpaper you say? my landlord can’t afford that. for some reason he spent a fortune on that god-awful sick-coloured carpet, though… no accounting for taste.

the poison is a pack of tobacco

#20

hides his 1.3ghz processor with 512mb SDRam

I don’t have a computer…
