Here is my best render so far… I am still a noob, I dont know how to make pics realistic, i dont understand radiosity, and I dont know how to make a normal looking sun… but i hope you enjoy it.
Show off your favorite piece of lighting
What do you mean by shaders? do you mean shadows? or what? and do you know any tutorials about it?
i mean the materials u are using to define the objects…1st understand the natural world and light…lighting is almost done by material definations and texturing…explore on them …my advice is take a real photograph and make the same thing in 3d then match it exactly to the level best…all the best.
Hi, guyz…
Here is my render of Jet Engine.
Lighting is done in V-ray.
Used HDRI image for reflections.
Feel free to critique or compliments.
Thanks.
Hi there,
These are few frames from an animated short called “Hooked” for which i did the lighting, shading, rendering and 80% of the overall shots’s compositing.
I had alot of fun trying to come up with an underwater look that will also fit our render budget, the challenge was healthy!
I use Lightwave 3d 9.6 , Fusion 6 and Photoshop.
Cheers guys!
Nice piece Troy.
Other than the mug, everything looks very “used” and re-cleaned. I like that
I’m so happy this thread is still going, despite now being a little embarrassed by the ancient pieces I posted to kick it off.
Hi all!
this is my last test-render on a scene modeled by myself in Maya. And I am trying hard to make it a nice job to get an award from any good galleries such as cgs or 3d total.
Rendering process was done by mental ray and post pro by Photoshop.
I strongly need your nice words to critique on me and show me my problems. thank you very much.
Here is the render before post procssing:
And after post pro by Photoshop(adding some brightness, contrast and grains):
And here’s my only reference to model and render this scene:
reduce refln on floor .
I assume you meant, “Try to reduce the reflection on the floor.” But I must disagree entirely. If you look at the reference photo, it’s actually MORE reflective, quite a bit more. On the left, you can clearly see the details of the sliding shoji doors in the floor’s reflection of them, for example.
@RasoulValli: I think you’ve done a great job here! Not precisely like your reference, but in some ways it’s even better. And at a glance, I find your postworked render to be as near photorealistic as your reference, really! Good work, keep it up.
Hi,
this is my very first modell, made nealry 1,5 years ago, i just refreshed it with a new lightning, it is also my first “serious” lightning work. I am not completely satisfied with it but iam intrested in your oppinoions. I would like to get more details in the reflection, the highlights are very strong fron vray lights, but the reflection of the hdri seems lost.
whatever here it is: video on youtube
awaiting for your critics
Hi … I would like to have some feedback on my render. I am learning lighting and would like some guidance on what is wrong in the render and how I can fix it . … Plz help me … Thank you …
That image is really cool, the mood is just fantastic, only thing i would add to it is some volumes passing through the trees and maybe some floor fog. other than that i really dig it.
hey man … thanx for the feedback … I will look in to that … thanks alot … cheers …
Hey,
I’m a student and this is my first attempt at cinematic lighting, enjoy!
I consider it final, but I always like critics!
edit: Made for the CG Lighting Challenge #16.
I did the lighting/Rendering/compositing, and some minor modeling.
which is cg? This is a match to live project I did in school. Any critique would be appreciated. The full breakdown is in my reel: website listed below.
Hi all, Im used some old stuff for studies if mentalray for Live Action, follow some studies I hope you like it.
