Hi everyone,

I am finally getting around to introducing myself.

My name is Markus Manninen. I know Leonard, Mark, Ali, and the guys, and I love where all of this is going and I hope I can help.

I’ve been in the industry 10+ years. Got into it from a dancing background with computer savvyness. Did a lot of character animation early on. Mostly commercials for a long time. I started off in my home town of Stockholm, Sweden. Things evolved over the years and I worked for two great, great companies in Europe - Filmtecknarna (www.filmtecknarna.com) and Framestore CFC (www.framestore-cfc.com) in London, UK.

I am currently in Los Angeles working in feature animation at DreamWorks Animation (www.dreamworksanimation.com), as VFX Supervisor on a film called “Kung Fu Panda”. It’s a fab project.

For the first time in my professional life I work decent hours and can enjoy spending time with my wife and newborn daughter. Life is good. Now if I could just figure out what the meaning of life is.

Any hoot… that’s me. Great to be here.

Lol! Yep, if your lungs can survive LA, you are to be congratulated. I don’t smoke, but my doctor swears otherwise… :scream:
