Should i change/fix something about this model

before i start uv mapping it and put it in game?

i added 3 pics one smoothed one facetted and a wire
the smooth one looks pretty bad but will this also influence the look ingame or is this only in maya?

Not a professional here but i like it so far.
The only thing i’d do if i was you would be to ask the responsible graphics programmer, if the engine can handle compound meshes (made up with many single objects) well or if it would be beneficial to join parts together and thus adding a few polies.

It depends on the game engine whether the smoothing will be exported or not. But I’d say yes, sort out the smoothing first. I don’t know Maya well enough to be able to tell you if you have to do that before the mapping, but I expect you can fix it afterwards. You can in Max.
