Short Scenes: Pygmalion Computer Graphics Project

#301

Hi Amy, if you are about, i could do with a favour, and i know your busy with stuff, so sorry :hmm:

however, all the links for the texturing were broken, and i have done my best to reconnect them. (you did a great job BTW)

however being new to the world of texturing, i have come across a snag

the psd files are linking fine when i reconnect them, but the default layers choice tabs are returning to composite, and i get stuck

i could do with a txt file that tells me which connections should be where, because i dont want to mess up the fine job you did.

the script editor has pointed me to all the correct files to link, but is not returning information on your psd layer links

thanks

Hi All,

Let me know what need to be changed or tweeked.

Hi John!! So nice to see you started modeling the Englishman!
I’d place the forehead and the brows a little more foreward.
You’re great going!

Mike, I’ve lost your email, so if you could email me, I’ll get right back to you with my address and such.

#305

Mike: no prob…

Lisa: the lower lip on the cellphone girl looks kinda jutting…if you get this im me and we can talk about it, otherwise maybe pull the jaw back a little?

jcasano: looking good but i need to see some orthographic views and a persp to really judge it to the sketch. (anything can read well from one angle but the goal is to get it to work on all of them)

#306

1.8 XL- Thanx. You’ve got some great stuff going there yourself. Your wallpaper texture is great, where’d you get it?

Ok Hows this,

I still have alot of cleaning up to do and finishing the ears and the mouth, Hair and Hat.

I’m hoping to get them all done by tonite and post those for any final comments and suggestions. Then I’ll start the body. I’m not realy sure on the deadline for this so I’m trying to get it done asap.

Thanks.

John

*i guess these are the final images for me:), i hope i catch the deadline MIKE…ill just send you the max files and the textures.
*as you can see on the second image, i used the beige color texture with the same pattern coordinating with a red carpet, i didnt use any bumps on this because it slows the rendering, i hope the animation process can get through it.
*the third image showing the staircase to details, the color of the staircase is just purely white with wooden handrail:)

*good luck to us all!!!:applause:

“Posted” means on our web site. When you turn in your model use an archive program to compress your files. Include your model in native format and export to .OBJ format. Include any auxiliary files needed and add a text file {model_Name}.txt that contains your software, version number and any comments you want people down the pipeline to know. People who are modeling backgrounds should also include one high res jpg. Email the archive file to me and I will post it on the website for others to download. My email address can be found on the contact page of our web site. The web site link can be found in my signature.

I am very proud of the work done by the modelers who have volunteered to work on this Project. Look how much progress we have made since Sept 6th! This could be a great weekend for turning in work. Let’s see if you can fill up my mailbox!

1.8XL: I think both are marvelous. Even if the rug were in the first rendering I think that would be fine. Let’s take a vote!! Everyone reading this thread tell us which image you would prefer for the Ambassador’s hallway. Make a post right now.

The window panes in the staircase should be broadcast white (255, 255, 255). No other color in the image can be that color of white. We will color key in some video to show through the windows. Do you have a choice of what painting you want on the wall?

jcasano: Looks good so far.

CJ Crave: Welcome to the Project. What a grand ballroom. We are going to have to rent lots of dancing extras to fill it up!

#313

*Thanks for the inspiring reply MIKE, i am so happy also with my output with all the busy schedule i have these past few days:D, i still managed to do it so:applause:.
*regarding the painting on the wall, i leave it with you or to all of you readers
*did you receive my email by the way MIKE?

#314

[]1.8XL: I like them both very much!!! My compliments! I vote for the second version.

John: nice progress!!

I could’t resist playing a little bit with the English Student, just before the hollidays here start… I added, for fun, a very little animation to the thread English Student for Pygmalion Animation Project . Maybe you want to take a look.

To All: great work!! So nice to follow how you’re doing! I look very much forward to see it
all together and finished! : )

I like the wallpaper, onlt because victorians were nuts about wallpaper and it gives it a richer feeling. One problem strikes me however. The fireplace has no hearth lol. I know, I’m picky. Those are lovely chairs.

#316

*:D:D…its a second time around, my friend also was surprised why i put the ‘fireplace’ there…its not a fireplace by the way, its a ‘console’ made of marble.

#317

Thx for your email Mike, I’ve PM’ed Jayreef with (hopefully) a solution.

#318

everybody did the big work, it’s great

#319

Mirabeau: Hope you are feeling better now. It looks like these last few details will finish your work. When you are done you can send me the model and one high res jpg to display in the art show.

roodroosje: I think you should make the English Student your avatar. What happened to Glo? She never checked in.

Everyone: I had some time to post WIP on the web site today. So liselulu, Dave Lewis, kenio3D, Adalast, and Agent Prometheus are now represented there.

Thank you Mike!! : ) Yes, good idea!

I just got an email from her… her daughter got complications with the delivery of the baby, so she felt very sorry she can’t texture, as her daughter needs her right now…
