Short film: Valle Paraiso

#1

By the end of 2005 I finished a 3D short film called Valle Paraiso. It was the end of two years of hard work where I worked alone in the project from the script to the final render. Daniel Tejerina did an amazing job with the soundtrack, James Phillips was the voice talent and Pep Aguiló created the sound effects and did the final mixing at Infinia.

During 2006 the film has been screened in about 50 worldwide festivals being awarded in several of them. Now that it is one year since I finished it, I have decided to share the film with all the CG comunity on line.

You can take a look at the film at:

For more information about the film you can visit the web site:

I wish you enjoy the film the as much as I enjoyed working on it

Sincerely

So well made and so captivating! Very good work, Edu. I can truly see 2 years’ worth of work being poured into this. Congratulations for your success at the festivals and for the coveted front page.
The only thing I found a little strange was the dog’s head being a little cubic, but then again, it fits into the unique style of characters you’ve followed and taken to greatness in this animation.

Looking forward for more from you, in the future.
And is there a ( downloadable ) highres version, somewhere?

Wow - amazing work for a one man short.
The productions values are solid throughout all aspects of the short.

Congratulations one the triumph!

Woa…nice, very engaging history; at eleven minutes i never loosed interest in any moment. The narration fits very well, the modeling, lighting and animation were all great.

The only thing that kinda bother me was the numerous fades to black… dont know why.

Congrats, great job!

Wow! I didn´t expeted a front page!! That´s the best reward to the effort that I could ever had!
Thanks a lot to everybody´s support, I´m sorry but I´m speechleess!

Lunaticumaster:
The european film festivals are usually free while to be inscribed in the american ones you have to pay a fee (from 15$ to 50$). You have to send them a DVD copy of the film and a few months later the festival tells you if your film has been selected. If so sometimes they ask you for a better quality copy (35mm, Betacam, HD…). So that pretty simple although it takes you a lot of time choosing film festivals and filling up the entry foms :frowning: . There is a great site where you can upload your film details and they send you emails with all the upcomming festivals. www.withoutabox.com
Hope this helps

Cheers

BIG CONGRATULATIONS for you, Eduardo. Man, you must be insane, to make an 11 min movie alone. But I believe (and hope) this will be a great door opener for you. Congrats for the frontpage, for your talent and your determination. When I grow up, I want to be like you!
