No ANIMATION slot? who’s animating the rig?
Was bunching that in with rigging. Didn’t note that. I will make it a seperate slot.
Guys… PLEASE PM OR EMAIL ME YOUR CONTACT INFO (IE. EMAIL, ETC)
Thanks.![]()
Got dobermunks email.
I’ve fleshed out the story a bit more and its waiting for crits, etc. At the following thread:
http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=409168
The response has been good so far. We have people getting assignments to areas, but people getting assigned means nothing unless stuff happens. So please visit the storyboard thread and get some crits in so the storyboards and animatics can get work done on them. We still need more people though primarily right now we need the concept sketch artists and storyboarders. The rest can fill in as we go. Once concepts sketches and storyboarding has been fleshed out enough modeling and the rest can follow.
I have limited time but I’m up for Modeling, Rigging & Animation.
( but again i have to fit it all in )
Please, I need all of your email addresses. I will be contacting people through emails. Having to PM people individually here is not a smooth method of communication. Just PM your email to me if you haven’t so I can contact people about the project. Thanks!
i will be in berlin for a contemporary character design conference from 11-16 october
(for those interested www.pictoplasma.com )
so i was
thinking that it would be a good idea for us in the area to get together for a beer
and maybe pour some diesel for this lil project …
internet is cool but as sinead o connor once said…
nothing compares to u…
pm me if interested…

Things are going great! bardakos is really anxious to get started on storyboarding. So I expect we’ll see some things from him soon.
For now critique the story concept please here: http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=409168
And share any concept sketch ideas you may have, please keep in mind the story and create sketches referencing the concepts within it: http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=409374
the quota of modelers is cover?
More modelers are welcome. I’m sure everyone will have something to do. As I stated in the first post:
And the list (the number of needed does not matter, the more the merrier and the faster things will get done)
A little update to those not directly involved in the project. And the addition of a sound position. I have two possible candidates for the job. But if anyone knows someone who might be interested please direct them here.
I have a possible spotlight for the project that could bring it some publicity. And help drive attention and maybe a few additional people joining. The storyboards are progressing and the first revision should be completely up hopefully by Monday. Check out what is there now, and crit what you can.
Hi,
This is my first post here, as a messiah user.
I would like to do some modeling. Maybe some textures?
I`m a lightwaver and less than a month new messiahbabyborn.
Hehe…, still reading the messiah manual.

Great! Welcome to messiah! I’ll put you in for texturing and modeling. Please PM me your email address.
Looking for updates on who is still involved. We are moving core activities to: http://animwatch.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=44
If those assigned are still interested in participating. We still will post updates and WIP here, just organize via Animwatch. There is some big stuff going to happen at the quiet Animwatch in which this project could be in a big spotlight, so stay involved and you may be quite surprised. We will move forward with or without you if you can’t participate, just let us know. The main character model should be available in 2-3 weeks. And the storyboard around the same time. Things are quietly progressing.
But voice yourself in the main assignment thread at animwatch if you are still involved. Located here: http://animwatch.com/forum/showthread.php?t=635
ok i have to say this
moving to aniwatch is alittle wrong that site is extremely SLOW compaired to here.
these internet collaborations and are hard to complete even with $$$
I don’t see the need to make it harder by moving the venue.
this project started in CGTALK for a reason we all hang out here.
many of these types of project have been completed at cgtalk with just a simple thread,
history shows you don’t need a Special section with you name in lights here to complete these types of projects. just book mark the link
Now I have put my hand up for modeling and rigging and animation, happy keep my hand up too
But I’m simply not going to add aniwatch to my daily check list, it will be in the weekend check list section.
Animwatch is slow NOW. But I know that something very interesting is about to start there that will increase the traffic 100-fold. I can’t talk about it, until it happens. That saying if the general concensus is not to move, then ok. To me, its not much different than having an external website that we’d visit to track projects.
Great news. Two excellent professional musical composers have joined the project. So we will have studio quality music and sound effects for this film.
Also, Josh Robinson has agreed to join up and support the modeling aspect of the film. And he is very excited about participating.
All in all we are progressing and moving forward. Slowly, but moving forward. John (storyboards) is away for a bit, but I expect once he gets back the boards will begin to be posted on animwatch.
What we need more than anything right now is a concept artist or two. Crossbones? Are you out there? I tried to get in touch with you in regards to concept artwork.
I also think I’m going to ask Wegg to merge the threads into one, so those not at animwatch can keep an eye on a single thread here. Going to follow Thomas’s advice on that one;)
