Hello all. This is my first posting as I am new to this forum. I have a 5 minute short film that I have written and have done some very rough concept art for. I have even finished a pre-vis using storyboards (sans dialogue).
The working title is “Kite” and is sci-fi (for all intents and purposes), but I consider it more post-apocolyptic fiction.
I am looking for a concept artist to improve on my designs, a modeler, animator, rigger, compositor, the whole shibang, to bring this short film to life. But, at this time, I’ll take any help I can get.
Sadly, I have little artistic skill when it comes to 3D animation. I graduated with a BFA in film production. CGI was not even a concept in my head at that time. But, currently, I work for a visual effects company in L.A., on the production end. With that said, I do fully understand the process and what software is out there. So I can talk the talk, I just can’t walk the walk.
This project will consist of 4 consistent characters, and 2 peripheral characters. It requires an archaic looking tank, a cargo plane, a couple of guns, matte paintings of the sky and of the ground, and the vehicle I have dubbed the “Kite”.
If anyone is interested in collaborating on this project with me, please post me a reply and I’ll get back with you ASAP. I can send a script and some concept sketches to give you a taste of what I’m trying to do adn then we can go from there.
If interest grows, then I will immediately put together a website to allow easier access to each other’s work.
