keep it up slink, you stuff is moving really well, the D3 model is really easy to rig, the body has gone, and the suit now takes its place, and the heirarchy is set right:thumbsup:
One more thing a bend in the knee isnt a bad thing it helps the IK calculation. It supposed reinforce correct bending in the joints.

finished the D rig for motionbuilder. Seems to work ok. I created a test anim. I uploaded it to SD. I will rig for LW too.

I will be putting up my attempt at a rig later, Iâve altered the mesh slightly, dropped the res for tests and got rid of the body where is sits behind the suit to reduce polycount. Going to go over to MB now and see if it works, gonna play around with weight maps later too, tie down the bone action to the sections, for now Iâm going the quicker route. (Not that is seems to be that quick :p)
Thanks guys. I would upload the FBX but its about 50mb. Colkai I will up load the lightwave scene with bones then you can export or modify if you like.
Whats The polycount on Deunan at this time as she stands now?
And are you doing a Dual Format Conversion LW & 3Dmax as well?
24000 polys now, was twice that almost, it started off as .obj, then went in C4D, then went to 3DS, then was taken into MB, and is now in lightwave:thumbsup:
Managed to get my version rigged before I went to bed last night.
Iâve dropped her inner-mouth geometry for now and quemlossed her a bit. Down to 10500 polys, got her moving around in Motion builder ,want to pull it back into LW and texture/light it before rendering the anim. MB does have shaders but right now I want to just use it for the motion data, save me having to deal with too much sensory overload. 
Quite pleased with it, ended up putting weight maps on her, though not down to finger level yet. Going to replicate the skeleton / maps in the high rez versino so she can be replaced for close up work.
Hopefully put up an animation in the next few days, depends how other commitments work out.
